Day of Tasks

Roni, on June 18, 2024 at 10:13 AM Posted in Planning 0 3

Hi! My big day is slowly creeping up (8/31). I am starting to get a list together to delegate tasks to bridesmaids. What are different tasks that you had delegated/wish you had delegated?

This is what a day-of-coordinator is for. Your bridesmaids only responsibilities during the day should be to support you, stand with you and likely get ready together. They are not responsible for set-up.

I agree with Rae. A day-of coordinator or month-of coordinator is there to help with those tasks that you don't have time to do. Setup, tear down, creating a timeline, handing out programs, gathering people for the photographer to take photos, notifying the venue of any issues (paper towels run out in the restrooms, beverage spills, etc), coordinating with other vendors to make everything run smoothly, etc. would all be good tasks for the day of coordinator to help with, and your wedding party members can enjoy the wedding with you instead of having to do tasks.

The only tasks the bridesmaids should have would be getting hair and makeup done, getting dressed, photos, walking down the aisle and standing up with you at the ceremony, and grand entrance if you are doing one. It isn't their responsibility to set up or tear down, coordinate vendors, etc.
