Day of timeline

Samantha, on February 23, 2022 at 12:02 PM Posted in Planning 0 4
Hey brides! I'm getting married 8-20-22 and trying to map out my day of timeline but seriously struggling. Our ceremony is at 3, and we are doing a first look so our post ceremony pictures don't take forever, but what time/order are you planning things.

When are you doing dances, dinner, cake cutting, anything else I'm not even thinking of? I really want things to flow nicely but I haven't been to a wedding since I was a teen and that wasn't important to me then

Have you spoken with your vendors? My timeline was basically created by talking with the venue (which included catering), photographer, DJ, and hair and make up artist.

We did our first dance right after our reception entrance (and toasts right after that) and parent dances right after dinner. Cake cutting was about an hour before the end of our reception (it's usually the last "event" of the evening). We didn't do any other traditions like bouquet and garter tosses.

I agree with Hannah - all of the vendors she mentioned helped us plan our timeline.
