Day Of Wedding Party Responsibilities

Maybe they can help with decorating? I’m having my bridal party and family helping put up the decorations in the chapel and venue. Maybe have the groomsmen help out with the seating for the ceremony and act as ushers?

You could ask them to pick up items for breakfast or lunch. Bagels, fruit, mimosas, whatever. Have one make a getting ready playlist.

My stepsister and I aren't as close as my mom thinks we are, so I'm having her run the "front of house" functions like a DOC because I have to have her do something. My sister is an MOH and is the keeper of the bridal party and things behind the scenes. My BM Chrissy, whose been my bestie for 22 years, is in charge of time for me and FH. She will keep me on track and also make sure me and FH eat. I don't trust FH's brother or nephews with a lot of cash just cuz I dont know them well, so FH's dad is in charge of distributing all tip envelopes. If my niece has an attitude adjustment (she'll be 14) and decides to be involved, she'll be on kid duty. She'll make sure all the kids are happy, safe and entertained during the reception.

I gave each of my bridesmaid responsibilities.
Moh: Help with the timeline of the wedding, answer my phone
Bm 1: decorate the aisle
Bm 2: drop off memorial table at the reception,
Bm 3: pass out bubbles for the send off

Our bridesmaids & groomsmen & parents jobs included:

1. Show up on time.

2. Bring your wedding attire.

3. Stand up during the wedding ceremony.

That's it. I think it made people a lot less stressed and have a lot more fun since we had professionals doing all the actual work.

My mom has already said she would like to bring mimosa stuff so I said that would be great, and I love Caytlyn’s idea of having someone come up with a playlist. Otherwise, I want us all to relax and have fun!

Yeah, the playlist would be fun! We just used a bridesmaids spotify account on her phone, but a set playlist would be fun too. We just relaxed and hung out all day!

Your instincts are right - they shouldn't be responsible for anything!

Other than showing up on time in the agreed-on attire of course.
