Hii All,

I ordered color swatches for bridesmaids dresses from Dear Cleo and they are exactly the colors I had envisioned IRL. (Their Ivy color is exactly the dusy sage I have been looking for that doesn’t look too light or minty) That along with their reasonable prices, I’m definitely sold on having my BM get their dresses from them. They seem to be pretty new to the market, has anyone had experiences with them yet? How are the quality of the dresses?

I would definitely recommend doing the try on dresses! They come super fast! My MOH loved the material and the try on dresses were perfect!

Do not use. They are terrible. All the dresses came in way too small and their customer service was rude and unhelpful.

Does it run true to size? My usually a 4 but I’m worried it will be too small.

Yes - I would say it runs true to size. Both my sisters are size 4 usually and the size 4 in Dear Cleo dresses fit them perfectly.

I'm ordering bridesmaids' dresses from them right now and I would say they run exceptionally small. I'm normally a size 16, and I've gone up to a size 20 that still doesn't fit. I'm deciding if I should do more try-ons in a s 22 or s24, or just take a chance on one size. They don't offer returns, but they do offer exchanges. In DB, I've only had to go up a size or two, so to have to go up at least 3 or 4 sizes is somewhat unappealing to me.

I’m using Dear Cleo in Hydrangea. We’ve order a few dresses and I have been super impressed. Some styles have pockets. The material feels nice. The strapless/off the shoulder have boning. My bridesmaids have been super impressed. I love that it’s made from recycled yarns!

I would say double check the sizing guide before ordering and actually take your measurements. Comparing their sizing guide and the US standard sizing guide according to wikipedia, it looks like there are some differences.

Hey Moderators, can you check this post and profiles for possible removal? Nearly all the comments are from “Just Said Yes” brides which is suspicious. This is not a brand I’ve seen mentioned here except this post.

I’m guessing this post is mostly advertising spam. Brides beware!

No they literally just started in 2020 right before the pandemic so you don't see much about it. I am getting married Jan 15, 2022 and we ordered try on dresses and so far so good. Check local bridal FB pages other brides have had experience with it. And I DM them as often as I have questions and they are very responsive.

I was a bridesmaid in a wedding and we ordered DearCleo dresses. Though they say to order 6-8 weeks ahead of time to leave time for tailoring, they don't actually arrive until 6-8 weeks -- so I suggest leaving double the time.

After I ordered mine, there was a factory delay, meaning they weren't able to get me the dress until four days before the wedding. I had to find a rush tailor to hem the dress -- which cost me as much as the dress.

Not to mention that I had to have the zipper replaced. The quality is bad and they are poorly made so they pinch and pucker (I'm talking in terms of inches of fabric standing up) if you have any sort of curve on your bum.

I had to have the zipper fully replaced, and thank God I did -- the MOH's dress zipper broke during the reception, and I had to safety pin her back together. What a mess!

All of this is without mentioning that there seems to be only one size of each try on item, so I ended up not even ordering the dress I wanted as the try on was never available in my size.

And don't even get me started on shipping. At one point they forgot to ship a try on for like two weeks, and they didn't ship my high priority rush dress until I emailed them to remind them.

The fabric is great quality. The construction is mediocre, at best. The customer service a nightmare.

Hi Sierra! Did you end up ordering from them? If so, how was the quality? I'm not thrilled with the quality of the Azazie dresses and am looking for something better. Dear Cleo looks like it's definitely a good option, and I'm also thinking of going with the Ivy or Pistachio!! Smiley smile

I ended up not ordering from them. I was disappointed I couldn’t order the try-on dresses in Ivy or Pistachio. The whole point of having the bridesmaids try on the dresses was not just for fit, but to make sure the color worked with my palette. My sister did order the try-on dress but it was only available in red or navy I believe. It was too risky for me to make the call without seeing the garment in person (the little color swatches were not enough for me to really make a decision), so I opted to get their dresses elsewhere. Sorry to not be of help!

I also want to throw in my two cents here because I had a hard time finding info about Dear Cleo. I was overall very pleased, & my bridesmaids were too, but definitely leave yourself enough time. I think they suggest 10 weeks for ordering (I believe it was increased during COVID) & it took the full 10 weeks for the dresses to arrive. We did have some issues with the try on timing, as they have limited options in each size (& not every color), & I didn’t budget enough time for it—although it ultimately worked out in the end. They are very responsive—I emailed with try on dress questions, & one of my bridesmaids emailed to change the delivery address.

Two of my bridesmaids felt the sizing was accurate & one felt it ran a little small. Two of my girls got them hemmed & shoulders taken up. Really liked the color (Hydrangea) & they all liked the same style (Molly). Dear Cleo Dresses 1
