Death of a bridesmaid

Clarisse & Cody, on March 24, 2019 at 4:11 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 9
A few months ago, my fiance's sister was killed in a car accident. She was one of my bridesmaids and I'd love to honor her at the ceremony. I don't want to have a reserved seats, because she wouldn't be siting she would be standing. Maybe a ring of flowers in her place? Any ideas I'd love

I'm sorry for your loss 💓 I think a ring of flowers sounds nice. You could place a picture of her with a poem in the reception area also.

Omgosh i am so very sorry to hear this.
Are you doing a memorial table? If you are you could have a photo of her there. I would do a ring of flowers for her

I'm so sorry for your and your fiance's loss. That is so terrible. A ring of flowers sounds like a wonderful idea, and I like the picture idea as well at the reception.

You could do something with flowers, since she was going to be a BM, you could have a bouquet made as well, and maybe have someone (like your fmil) carry it down. I would also have a place for her/the bouquet at the head table if you are having one.

So sorry for your loss Smiley sad

I would ask your fiance what would be best. Could another bridesmaid carry her picture down the aisle? Or a groomsmen? I do like your flower idea too. Maybe give him a locket to wear or put in his suit for the wedding with her picture in it?

Definitely check with future in-laws as other posters have suggested. Her family will already be thinking of her not being there and why so part of their hearts are already going to be broken coming in. They might just want something subtle in order to keep their emotional equilibrium.

I am SO sorry you have to go through this and make such a tough decision. I think a ring of flowers or even what her bouquet would have been in her place.
