I love all these but I like how the first one is a little more relaxed!

Hello fellow December brides! I got married December 23, 2017 and loved planning my Christmas wedding. It is our favorite time of the year! Our vision was a woodsy Christmas theme with garlands, trees, wreaths and berries and our colors were burgundy, gold and plaid accents. My DH watches Rudolph every Christmas so when he saw these vintage reindeer on Etsy he really wanted to use them as our cake topper. That inspired our other little reindeer decor: custom reindeer table number/sign holders, custom ornaments for the guest that served as their "escort card", custom thank you cards for our wedding party and VIPs with little reindeer, to-go cups for hot chocolate/hot cider, little linen candy bags for the candy bar, and throw pillows for the adirondack chairs around the fire pit. We had blankets for our guests that they could use around the fire pit and take home at the end of the night. Our pastry chef created the perfect Christmas cake: gingerbread spongecake with eggnog buttercream icing with fresh berries. We had a huge Christmas tree in the reception room where our guests put their presents for us and a huge wreath over the fireplace. We also had greenery around the chandelier. Our band played some fun Christmas songs interspersed with the rest of the music they played and our last dance was to "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" since the next day was Christmas Eve and we had a lovely Christmas Eve brunch the next morning. I wore a vintage stole after the ceremony and gave my girls faux fur wraps to wear as well as Victoria's Secret Christmas PJs that we got ready in. Here are some of my favorite pictures.

I love that!! The flower crown and veil combo is STUNNING. I am going for a very similar vibe, except not explicitly Christmassy. We're doing green and champagne/gold, with lots of natural wood accents and lots of greenery/pines! Just warm and cozy winter wonderland. I love the warm glow you have -- that's what I hope the atmosphere will be in our venue as well. We also are doing a coffee+cocoa bar and a s'mores bar!

Sorry for not writing in a while ladies! Been super busy with work and school and stuff. I wish I had more to report. I have finished my invites and most of the program, though I need to meet with our priest to make sure everything is in the right order. I plan on having the invitations mailed out end of August so hopefully most things will be done by then. My brother is so sweet though. He's just finished the sixth grade and his teacher was auctioning items off things the kids could buy with classroom money. His teacher is also a photographer and she auctioned off a 60 min session for her that my brother got for me Anyways, I probably won't update until August since I'll be leaving for camp on the 22nd and won't get back until July 29. Thank you! We had late night snacks of s'mores around the fire pit and also grilled cheese sandwiches. One of my favorite things about having a winter wedding was the hot chocolate/hot cider bar. Guests of all ages loved that too! Best wishes to you in your planning!
