I'd love to meet you all, know what your colors are, inspiration, theme, what your gown looks like, where you are getting married, and any other details you may wish to share. Together we can all plan the most perfect December weddings!

We are having a private Christmas wedding in Natchez, MS at a fabulous historic mansion now an Inn. Can't wait!! We will have about 12 guests ( immediate family and witnesses). It's 3 hours from our hometown. So a mini destination wedding. Our colors are pale pink, burgundy, ivory, and rose gold. My wedding gown is a warm, pale pink named Meena by Martin Thornburg. My shoes are Jimmy Choo's that I bought on FARFETCH for a bargain. I love how sparkly they are. My purse is sitting in my skirt ruffles and its by Mary Frances ( that is the true color of my dress, more warm pink than in designer pics). I'm a veil designer so I'm hoping to have a hatbox cake similar to this, but a bit more elaborate. Ha! Ha! We are planning a 3:00pm ceremony. We are going to mini-moon at this Inn in their gorgeous bridal suite. Planning a very large black-tie wedding reception for May. Here are a few photos of what we have going on so far for our Christmas Wedding. I have fallen in love with that bouquet. Another WW bride had it as her photo and she kindly sent it to me.

The fur-baby pictured is my 13 1/2 year old service dog named Gaston. He will be our Pup Of Honor, God-willing.

I hope we all become the best of friends during this most exciting and stressful times of our lives!! 😂 Big hug to each of you!! 💕💖

I love that polish, Victorian Bride! It's so lovely and festive💗
    Hi December Brides!!
I am also late to the party and so happy I found you. I am seriously overwhelmed! I wish I could slow time down.. the days are flying by! We just got engaged in St Thomas on July 9th while on a Caribbean cruise with family. I was surprised! We have been dating for 19 years. So, I saw no point in a long engagement. But, that was naive on my part.
Our wedding is on December 1, 2019 in Playa Del Carmen, Riviera Maya. With no time for formal invites or save the dates.. I thought it would likely be just the two of us with our 1 year old daughter or with our immediate families only.. but, our guest list is over 50 confirmed and we are still in process of inviting guests and organizing travel plans. We live in a very rural town so have been flying to Los Angeles, where my family is, for dress shopping and fittings. I seriously thought I'd just fly down for the weekend, back in July, and would be returning home with my dress lol! I've had to make 3 trips for shopping & alterations and have one (hopefully last one) early November, just 2 weeks before we fly to Mexico.
Even though it is December, it will be start of peak season there and the weather should be fabulous. We are having a beach wedding and everything including a dance floor will be custom built/set up on the sand of a private beach called Secret Jewel. My mom and sis were disappointed in the sand and the inability to wear heels and I hope they are the only ones feeling that way. We are so happy our guests are traveling from all over to celebrate with us. We wanted to plan a fun and different wedding experience instead of something super formal and traditional. The wedding will be 9 hours long with open bar and lots of food. Cocktail hour with canapés and two seated meals, dinner and a midnight meal. Gelato bar, margarita bar, tequila and whiskey tastings, bonfire, photo booth, DJ for the reception and guitarist for cocktail hour. It's truly stressful trying to plan from far. Our site inspection and tastings are the week of the wedding, once we arrive😱 I could go on and on.. sorry this got so long on me. Happy Sunday to all of you! Some of you brides are probably having showers this weekend!!! Eek so exciting!💗

Again, I'm sorry for the essay.. I don't have anyone interested in helping plan or even hearing my plans. I'm so tired of hearing my mom say, "whatever you decide or whatever you think is best". Obviously, I'm asking cause I'd like her opinion. We are paying for everything ourselves so I'm really disappointed they haven't helped plan or have been more supportive by at least listening or asking about it. And, forget about a shower or bachelorette. They won't even bring it up and I'm not planning anything else.

Firstly, we LOVE hearing your plans!! That's why we have this group. This is where you can gush and tell all of your ideas and know that EVERYONE here is interested!! ❤ Your wedding sounds amazing. You've been busy. I think you would have had time to send formal invitations, but that's just my opinion. 😊 Do you have an photos of your venue, your dress, flowers, and anything else? We love photos. We have so many brides on here and not one of us is exactly the same! Makes it so fun and interesting. So feel free to go on and on and on and on......😂

Thank you so much Heather! I enjoyed seeing your plans and what you're working on. Much appreciated😊 I'm trying to figure out if we want a videographer.. what are you ladies doing? And, have you all decided on a first look?
Also, could use help deciding on how many servings and flavors for the gelato bar. We hired a gourmet gelato shop to set up a sundae station for gelato and ice cream bars. They even have some boozy options, like mojito, baileys and mango margarita. It looks like we're going to have 55-60 guests. I was thinking 75 servings, in case some want more than one. My dad says it's too much. There will also be cake and a plated dessert. But, we're planning to open the ice cream bar an hour or two after dinner. The wedding is on the beach and I thought gelato and ice cream bars would be a nice refreshing treat.
I'll have to download the app so I can share pics. I've been using the mobile version on my phone and it doesn't allow pics. I thought I just couldn't figure it out lol

I want a videographer. I've heard too many friends say that they wished they had hired one even if just for a highlight video. My fiancé's mother is very ill and I'm dealing with some major health issues, so we are a bit behind in planning.

No first look for us. I'm hoping to get his expression when I walk in the room. That will be priceless to me.

Your gelato bar will be awesome! What a great idea. Ask your vendor what they suggest for servings and flavors. Surely they would know, then we can chime in on what they say. 😊

I wish this would upload to everyone in our discussion. Lol! Anyone have any updates? No matter who you are in this group, your wedding is getting close!! Yay!

I'm worried I won't finish my veil. I've caught a respiratory infection, on top of other health issues, and I've so much left to do. I'm starting to panic.

On the upside, I've adopted a sweet female boxer named Sadie!! She's been abused. 😔 Who would hurt such a sweetie pie? I told her she'll never be hurt again. No, she can't walk me up the aisle, unfortunately, like Gaston. She is not a service dog. I just though someone would ask. You all are THE BEST!! Look forward to hearing from you all. Hugs & kisses ❤

Hi there! Sorry for the delayed response! It's been a little crazy haha! I looooove the idea of a gelato bar that sounds so fun!! Your guests will love it! Smiley smile I'll have my two cousins who are pro photographers and my friend who does video there to capture every special moment! I think video is so important too! I'm a photographer myself, but video tells a little more of the story sometimes! We are going to do a first look, it'll be nice to share a quiet moment alone with my man before all the craziness of the day! (with my cousin taking pictures of course) How is everything else going? We have our final RSVPs coming in and my fiance has been working on the woodworking projects for the wedding! I'm just finishing up with the music!

45 days away!!! I can't believe it! Smiley smile So excited, everything is coming together and we're getting the final RSVPs in, I'm going to start the seating chart and I'll have my hair and make up trial next weekend most likely. My fiance is hard a work getting our ring box made and the car finished! Once those are done he'll work on the card box and cake base! So excited to see everything finished! I'm working on finalizing the music and getting the final decorations figured out Smiley smile I just wrote my vows and our rings just came in! It'll be December 7th before I know it! So ready! Smiley smile

Laura, any pics or news to share? Maybe a photo of your gown? And that ballroom!! I want to see! What time does your wedding begin? We, too, are trying to get in some outdoor pics before the sun sets. Our wedding is at 3:00pm on December 22 and the sun sets at 5:05. It may be 30° with a wind chill of 18° or it could be 70°, we never know down South. Ha! Ha! Makes planning so much fun!! 😂 I did have our ceremony moved inside, just in case it's raining or extremely cold. I love the gardens, but too hard to plan in December.
