I'd love to meet you all, know what your colors are, inspiration, theme, what your gown looks like, where you are getting married, and any other details you may wish to share. Together we can all plan the most perfect December weddings!

We are having a private Christmas wedding in Natchez, MS at a fabulous historic mansion now an Inn. Can't wait!! We will have about 12 guests ( immediate family and witnesses). It's 3 hours from our hometown. So a mini destination wedding. Our colors are pale pink, burgundy, ivory, and rose gold. My wedding gown is a warm, pale pink named Meena by Martin Thornburg. My shoes are Jimmy Choo's that I bought on FARFETCH for a bargain. I love how sparkly they are. My purse is sitting in my skirt ruffles and its by Mary Frances ( that is the true color of my dress, more warm pink than in designer pics). I'm a veil designer so I'm hoping to have a hatbox cake similar to this, but a bit more elaborate. Ha! Ha! We are planning a 3:00pm ceremony. We are going to mini-moon at this Inn in their gorgeous bridal suite. Planning a very large black-tie wedding reception for May. Here are a few photos of what we have going on so far for our Christmas Wedding. I have fallen in love with that bouquet. Another WW bride had it as her photo and she kindly sent it to me.

The fur-baby pictured is my 13 1/2 year old service dog named Gaston. He will be our Pup Of Honor, God-willing.

I hope we all become the best of friends during this most exciting and stressful times of our lives!! 😂 Big hug to each of you!! 💕💖

Awesome!! Thanks for educating the future leaders of our Country!! ❤ Have you shared your centerpieces? If not, sorry if you have and I've totally missed it ( Miss Brain dead right now ), we'd love to see what you are making. Please share!!

Wedding planning, ok. I've been very ill for a long time, end of December I worsened greatly, and what I have has no cure, and my gown doesn't fit anymore. Smiley cry I'm in shock and dismay. It was too large and now it's too small. Not quite sure what I'm going to do about that! Hopefully my doctors will figure it out. Not well enough to go gown shopping, again. My gown cost a small fortune, too. I'll just worry about that tomorrow! Ha! Ha! Typical, Southern saying!! Smiley tongue

My baker still waiting to hear back from me. So I'm going to try my best to get back with her today or tomorrow. I told her I was ill so she wouldn't think I'm ignoring her.

I was planning a bridal shoot, but now I'm not well enough to plan anything that strenuous. It's a tradition down South to do them. Are any of you guys doing bridal portraits?

Also Monique asked how everyone's wedding planning is coming along? I know we are all busy, but if you want to share or need an opinion, we are here.

Oh I am excited to find this! I am so excited for a December Wedding! All my friends keep telling me how much they are excited to go to a winter wedding because everyone does fall! Really December 7th is technically still fall, but December feels enough like winter so whatever!

Our venue is a Victorian inn in Northern MD and I am obsessed with it! My pup is also supposed to be in our wedding, but his deal will be if he can behave during it- Ill have to see if I have any pictures of him on my work computer. I just found my dress, I don't have a great picture of it but I am having my seamstress add some sleeves because I can't stand strapless dresses lol.

During our ceremony we are doing a Ring-Warming ceremony and we are writing our own vows to say during it. FH's brother and my sister are officiating together, his brother doing the actual officiating but my sister will be up there with him and she has a reading that she will be doing.

We are going with red, green and gold as the colors and they have a lot of christmas decorations that they will have up and I am just super excited! Here are a bunch of pictures!

Woohoo I am so excited to have found this thread! Some other weird random things with my wedding: I am working on a floral tattoo sleeve and I am leaving a space where I'll be adding my bouquet afterward! My centerpieces are books and some small flowers and greenery... I feel like there is more that I have figured out but I can't remember everything right now lol

The bridal portraits are definitely a southern thing, but I think they are also very "vintage" I don't think I'll do them but I love the idea!

I think the two big vendors I still have left to find are my band/DJ and my hair and makeup. There is a girl in town I am really interested in who specializes in more "vintage" looks for hair so I plan on seeing if I can afford her! Makeup I still am clueless about but I'll probably look for someone that my venue recommends because I definitely want someone to come on-site.

This summer I will be working on our favors, my FMIL and I will be painting ornaments!

Does everyone feel like theyre missing stuff? I feel like I am missing something big and I can't shake this feeling! My venue is all-inclusive for the most part: lodging, food, drinks, linens, cake, and planning is included in the price so I feel like I haven't had to rush around as much as many people but I still feel behind!

STDs have been out... invites are in the works... how can you have accomplished so much but still feel like you are missing something!?

We are SO excited to have you join our group. Everyone on here isn't December. We aren't snobby. Smiley tongue We have a few late November's, some January & February's, and 1 August!! Ha! Ha! Smiley ring Your Inn is just gorgeous!! Love your gown!!! How special to have your grandmother's ring!! That would mean the world to me and I'm sure it does to you!! My seamstress wanted $850.00 to add sleeves. May I ask how much yours is charging? I'm considering opera length gloves in white.

Thanks for sharing. Love all of your ideas so far!!! Keep up the good work!! Smiley shame

Awwwww...thank you. ❤ He LOVES to give kisses. His name is Gaston. I'll give him a kiss for you. Keep him in your thoughts, our vet will tell me in the next two weeks how many days, or months, he thinks my precious baby has left. It'll break my heart if he's not at our wedding. He's been my service animal for 11 years. I won't be selfish and let him suffer, though.

Well, I'm getting my hatbox cake in honor of my occupation. I'm afraid to hear the cost, but I hope it's as pretty as I've imagined. Smiley winking

I'm planning on doing something vintage with my hair. I'm afraid most people will think it's a bit much and too "costumey," but, hey, it'll fit my venue and theme. I'll show you all a pic. I even have a clip in hair piece in the sausage curls the exact color of my hair!!! I'll just have to see what it looks like at my hair trial. Have a MUA, but no trial. Hope that goes well!! She has great reviews. The travel fees to have everyone come to our venue is crazy. Seems not many vendors in that area. Yes, I hope you find HAMU people you love!! I'm sure you will.

You'll have to show your favors!!! We are having our reception in the Spring. A girlfriend made homemade pale pink goats milk soap cubes with an antique rose scent and gold top. I bought clear plastic cubes to put each one in. May give them out at both our wedding and reception. Not sure. I DO have white vintage handkerchiefs for the lady wedding guests for happy tears.

    Any one else doing favors?

I definitely feel like I'm missing ALOT, but I need to sit down and make a list of things to do and those accomplished.

I think everyone on here is way ahead of their schedules!! Yay!!! Feel free to chime in ya'll. xoxo

It's nice to have someone who has one and understands. They are so sweet, but protective. Thanks for sharing. He used to be the most beautiful tiger striped brindle. Now when someone says they've never seen a Boxer that color, I say he's the rare " silver" color. Lol!! Kisses to your fur baby!!

Oh! I have to share this story. When he was 3 a hurricane took the roof off my home in LA. So we had to live in a hotel for 7 months. We became good friends with all of the other people living there displaced. One evening during the wine and cheese cocktail hour, this interior designer was sitting with our nextdoor neighbor at the hotel discussing their home. She looked at Gaston and said, " Oh My! What a beautiful dog. He's make such a lovely CHAIR!!! 😨 I immediately left and locked him safely in my hotel room. Can't repeat what I was thinking. 😁

Sorry all, I digress. Nothing to do with wedding planning, but my hope is Gaston is our pup of honor!!

I love this hair! I still haven't decided on favors. I want to do something useful. All guests will be from out of town, so my mom just wanted to do welcome bags. Someone mentioned uber gift cards yesterday. I hadn't considered this yet, but I might go with that.

Not sure how much the seamstress will charge- probably a decent amount because I went with the most well-reviewed and well-known one in the area without really checking with her pricing, but I'm ok with it because one- I know I'll get a quality job done and my dress shopping experience was less than ideal so I need someone who will really make this dress into what I want because I am D O N E with it (and my mother- but that's another story for a different day). and two, I only paid $700 for the dress because it was a discontinued sample so I am willing to spend the rest of what I budgeted on the alterations. Not sure if Ill go with full sleeves, but I am thinking about it. My consult is in August because she is so sought-after that she has to really plan out her year.

I love your hair idea, and really if you love your hair idea then its worth it! I had the same concern because I was thinking about something like this:

If I want to lean into the victorianDecember 2019 Brides, Let's chat......❤ 9
I think this is my favorite so far though, I love the way the front looks!December 2019 Brides, Let's chat......❤ 10

I LOVE the goats milk soap idea! I really thought about doing soaps but I ended up deciding for the ornaments which will be suuuuch a pain, but they've already been purchased (last year's christmas clearance sales were so good to me) so its a little too late to go back now lol

It's Friday! YAY!! Anyone cake tasting or doing some wedding related activity this weekend? Please share!!

I'm still not 100% on our Christmas invitation, new samples arriving by tomorrow. AND not even close to choosing our wedding announcements/reception gala invitation for the Spring, which will be mailed when we return from our mini-moon. Plan on working on all of this this weekend. My FH wants double envelopes, which is so hard to find, and they must have a place on the back for a wedding pic. He never asks for much, so I'm trying to honor this request for one of these!

So far only MINTED is willing to let us purchase our announcements at their Cyber Monday sale and wait to print as soon as we get a wedding pic to them a few days after our ceremony. No one else is willing to wait. And I definitely want to be able to mail by New Year's so people can plan to travel, if they desire. Where I currently live is a destination wedding reception gala for ALL of my guests. XOXO

Ugh I wish I was cake testing... My lady won't see me till June cause shes dealing with summer brides right now so I have to wait Smiley sad

These are my invites, we got them from Etsy! They were originally like a rehearsal dinner invite and I liked them so much that I had her make a whole suite from them and then I got them for 1/2 off on their black friday sale.

    InvitesDecember 2019 Brides, Let's chat......❤ 11

I erased some of the info since WW posts these photos for all to see lol

I would check etsy though if you have a specific idea in mind- I can add a back to these if I want and I'll either send them to staples to print or I'll print them at work (shhh) there is a matching RSVP and details card but I'll probably only use the details card as I am doing my RSVPs through Minted, I'm using their website and they gave me like $50 to use towards my save the dates for using their website.

I honestly liked Minted, they seem to have their stuff together and if the US mail messes up like they did for me, they have pretty decent customer service and re-printed and sent new via FedEx.

Thanks Allie!! You are so sweet. I'll have my hair trial in Sept or Oct. We'll see. I think I can pull it off without looking ridiculous. Lol! We want to look like we are back in time in some of the pics. This is what my fiancé is planning on wearing.

When I had our very large wedding planned for this past October, everyone was from out of town. I planned our gift bags by distance. Those flying in received the most expensive welcome bags, then those driving the fartherest and so forth. I still had the little soap and vintage handkerchief favors for everyone. I think an Uber gift card would be nice, but what are you putting in your welcome bags? I agree favors need to be useful. Does anyone like to bake? I saw the cutest wedding cookie cutters on Etsy. I think a few homemade cookies would go over well in a little bakery bag. Just a thought.

I bought my gown when it first came out, now it's discontinued, but it cost a small fortune. I told the bridal salon owner I DID NOT want a strapless gown. So I end up falling in love with this strapless gown. Don't know what I'm going to do! 😂 My gown consult is the 1st week of Sept. Fingers crossed for all of us that need alterations.

I LOVE both of your hair ideas!! I might borrow the first one if you don't mind? Maybe they can combine my pic and yours for me. I have a headband that my cousin gave me that I have to wear. The 2nd is very elegant. It's classic. I can see that on you as well. Decisions....decisions... Are you wearing a veil? Sorry, my memory is failing. Whether you are or aren't, some of those crystal pins or a delicate hair vine would look pretty scattered in the roll. Hope this makes sense.

Your ornaments will be beautiful!! Can't wait to see them!!

Your invites are lovely!!! Perfect for a December wedding!! I definitely do not want to print anything. I want it all done for me. Ha! Ha! I've used Minted quite a bit and I really like them. I currently have a Zola website, but am considering changing to Minted. Not sure yet. Etsy does have a few invites we are interested in viewing. We are waiting on samples now.

My STD's were done with Minted and their was an error. Just like you, my whole order was reprinted free of charge with overnight shipping.

Thanks for sharing your wedding plans and the advice!! I hope when we are all married, we can look back fondly on our little group.💕💖💕
