I'd love to meet you all, know what your colors are, inspiration, theme, what your gown looks like, where you are getting married, and any other details you may wish to share. Together we can all plan the most perfect December weddings!

We are having a private Christmas wedding in Natchez, MS at a fabulous historic mansion now an Inn. Can't wait!! We will have about 12 guests ( immediate family and witnesses). It's 3 hours from our hometown. So a mini destination wedding. Our colors are pale pink, burgundy, ivory, and rose gold. My wedding gown is a warm, pale pink named Meena by Martin Thornburg. My shoes are Jimmy Choo's that I bought on FARFETCH for a bargain. I love how sparkly they are. My purse is sitting in my skirt ruffles and its by Mary Frances ( that is the true color of my dress, more warm pink than in designer pics). I'm a veil designer so I'm hoping to have a hatbox cake similar to this, but a bit more elaborate. Ha! Ha! We are planning a 3:00pm ceremony. We are going to mini-moon at this Inn in their gorgeous bridal suite. Planning a very large black-tie wedding reception for May. Here are a few photos of what we have going on so far for our Christmas Wedding. I have fallen in love with that bouquet. Another WW bride had it as her photo and she kindly sent it to me.

The fur-baby pictured is my 13 1/2 year old service dog named Gaston. He will be our Pup Of Honor, God-willing.

I hope we all become the best of friends during this most exciting and stressful times of our lives!! 😂 Big hug to each of you!! 💕💖

Happy Monday, December Fam! Smiley heart

I cannot believe it is the last week of March! I have 257 days until the big day and I am so nervous I am forgetting something! My fiance's best man keeps asking us if there is anything we need him to do and I really can't think of anything yet!

We have our initial meeting with our DJ next week and I am so anxious about it. I haven't been to a wedding yet where I loved the DJ, mostly they were so similar to morning disk jockeys and I absolutely hated that! This company is called the "Dapper DJs" and they have a whole motif of being vintage and really looking the part so I am a little more interested to see what that meeting looks like.

Has anyone seen someone do something other than the "traditional" reception entrance? I don't love the coupling of the bridesmaids and groomsmen together and having them dance into the reception, each to their own obnoxious song... hopefully, I am not offending anyone here but I just really don't want that for our entrance. Looking for something maybe a little unique or maybe some other ideas.

    Have a great week guys!

I am trying to find a different reception entrance too! The announcing the bridal party couple by couple is tedious to me, & i will have 7 bridesmaids & 7 best men so thats a lot of announcing! let us know if you find any alternatives, i'd love to hear them as well!

We met with our cake lady this weekend & agreed on a beautiful, HUGE cake! the bottom layer will be a dummy layer, as well as two layers in the middle bc this cake is so heavy. the top will be a vegan layer bc that’s the layer we will be cutting & eating & freezing and saving for our 1st year anniversary. (i’m a vegan, FH is not, so the rest of the cake will be normal as well as the food for the reception will be mostly non vegan with a few choices for me to eat from!)

Our wedding party has 2 bridesmaids and 10 groomsmen. All are married except for one bridesmaid and one groomsman who are my twin 5 year old niece and nephew. We are going to have them each walk in with their spouse. I think they will just announce the groomsmans name and say the spouses name or “his wife”.
We have started a list of songs that we want to play at the wedding. We don’t want anyone to request songs during the reception so we are letting each couple in the wedding party pick a song that we will play sometime during the reception. As far as the entrance songs go, my fiancé and I will be selecting them.

Maybe you could do a grand exit type thing as an entrance, like the sparklers or ribbons or something along those lines, have everyone lined up like they would be for an exit with some music playing and have them do their thing and they could all take their seats after you? (have them get comfortable and find their seats first and have the entrance item at their seats to grab before you come in) it's kind of what we are toying with since we won't be having a grand exit.

Hi everyone!!! I need to apologize. I've not had the flu. I know, I'm so sorry!! 🤥Please forgive me. I was just diagnosed with congestive heart failure. I've simply needed this time to sit and let reality sink in. If you believe in prayer, please pray for me. I could have six months or thirty years. They just don't know.

FH and I are looking into wedding insurance. This is a very unexpected turn of events. I'm extremely weak and feel awful. I will slowly get back into our conversations. I'm an optimist and that won't change. I appreciate each of you so much!! I'm still looking forward to our weddings!! 8 months and counting for those of us in December. YAY!! Thank you!! I appreciate each of you!😍😍 Much love!!

Oh! Someone asked if my post was an April Fools joke. It is not. I'd never post anything as serious as what I've posted. Thank you.

I'm catching up. Smiley winking lol! Do you have an inspiration pic for your ornaments? Snow would be beautiful. I'm praying for a beautiful day with a fantastic sunset. We are going on the bluffs to take sunset photos and our photographer said if a really pretty sunset it will be like that one famous scene from GONE WITH THE WIND. Them, us, silhouetted against the setting sun. Here's hoping ALL of our dreams come true.

If you do Mississippi State, do it in cookies, or something edible. My FH is an Old Miss fan and wouldn't have anything from MSU in our house, except guests we LOVE! Ha! Ha! I'm so tired of his red and blue!! He has a complete wardrobe of Old Miss attire. You may have others who feel the same way. If you go with a magnolia, it's generic, like on a coffee mug.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it all!!! Your wedding will be picture perfect. Can't wait for you to choose your gown. Maybe with touches of gold? I'm with you with the long veil. I measured mine at 11 feet. Lol! The train on my gown is right at 7 feet. I have so much to do on mine. That is my very next goal and project as soon as I feel better. Can't wait to see what you choose.

How'd your florist appt go? I'm the same way. I want to know what everything is costing up front. I think I have all of our vendors chosen, just not all hired. Since I've been ill and we are marrying on a Sunday, they are going to let us do contracts later. I'm so grateful. Hope school is going well!! Are you graduating next month?
