December brides!

Hi y’all, December 12 bride here! Just wondering what any other December gals are thinking about their dates? Am I the only one that’s super nervous or do you think we’ll be alright? 😅

Personally, I think you'll be fine and have nothing to worry about in regards to your wedding date, but I don't think it would hurt to add some hand sanitizing stations, provide masks to guests who want to wear one, and maybe even do the colored wristbands thing. I don't think you have to postpone, but I also think the virus will still be around by then.

    Hey date twin!
We are going full guns blazing with our wedding (we are in australia) however we are not entirely sure whether we’ll need to cut our guest list. We are hoping we won’t need to but will find out when our government releases more information about easing restrictions.
Otherwise it’s business as usual for us.

I would keep planning like normal. Hopefully even if we do still have spikes in December, we'll know how to handle it better with contact tracing, etc.

December 5th here... I am scared y'all! My FH feels more optimistic but we are from the Houston area and it does not look good here. We have starting discussing "what-if" scenarios and some plan B's & C's. We are done with majority of the planning so I guess we just coast now until early October and see what happens. Fingers crossed!

I’m a December bride & we are continuing with our plans as usual.. I do have some worries about our reception space as it’s in a private room at a restaurant, in the event restaurants have to cut back on in-house dining by that time if hospitalizations spike. We have a coordinator who will help us come up with a plan B if necessary. Even if they do enforce more restrictions by the time our day comes, we will still get married with a more scaled back guest list. The plus side would be that we would still have a large chunk of $$ in savings that didn’t end up being spent on catering for 100 guests, so trying to find silver linings where I can!

My original date was 7/17/20 and we pushed to December. I'm in upstate NY, where our COVID rates are dismal compared to what they were, but I am still nervous about December. I'm probably more nervous because we already postponed once. I'm realizing now that we could have had our event, just smaller, this July. I'm trying to be patient and not change things too far in advance for December. Who knows what will happen over the next 5+ months.

December 6th here! I am definitely very nervous! I think our wedding venue in NJ will be open by then, but I have a feeling that we will be forced to cut our guest list and everyone will be required to wear masks. If that's the case, our venue will allow us to postpone. We've got plan B in mind. It's definitely hard feeling like a bride or getting excited with so much uncertainty.

I'm with you guys! Our date is December 5th in CT and I don't know what to think. Some of the most important people we would want to be there (including half my bridal party) would have to be flying in from all over the country so even if this area is doing okay by then but where they are coming from isn't it might not be possible. Plus the thought of putting anyone at risk is just so terrible and the idea of having to wear masks or not be able to have dancing is super not appealing. I'm trying to stay positive but it's really difficult. I feel like the not knowing for sure thing is driving me crazy, lol. On the upside though I did just buy my dress yesterday so that's something I guess?

We are December 12th as well! I was feeling very optimistic but now getting a tad worried... we are in FL and the wedding is in Palm Beach were it’s not looking too great right now. I’ve kind of put a pause on things so see how the next month or so goes!

Honestly I am nervous.... I am hoping and praying for 1/2 capacity and to not have to totally postpone. I am waiting until October to decide. 🤞🤞🤞🤞

I’m continuing as planned. But I do think that my guest list will be affected. We have some elderly relatives which I foresee them cancelling.

I have a sad update guys! I have decided to go ahead and postpone until next year. I contacted our venue to ask them about doing a soft hold on a future date and they responded that they were pretty much encouraging all their weddings for this season to move to next season. They said that September and October weddings would have to be 25 people or less and no dancing and that there was a good chance it would be the same for December, especially with flu season happening at the same time. I was pretty bummed about it but the more I get used to the idea the more I am okay with it. I feel kind of relieved to have just made a decision at least. Now I have the lovely task of contacting all of our guests and other vendors! Wish me luckSmiley ups

My wedding date is December 19 and its beginning to get really difficult to set things and plan. If I have to do a backyard wedding, so be it..I pray things die down by then

I feel similar to you. I’m in upstate NY. December was my postponed date. Getting hesitant to buy things but just putting $ aside in the meantime.
