So my wedding is less than 2 weeks away, and this week I'm working on writing our ceremony script!
Our officiant is my FH's grandfather, who has only officiated one other wedding. He gave us a couple scripts that we could work off of, and I have also been researching online for other various scripts to piece together. Both my FH and I are not writing our own vows and are fine with doing the "repeat after me" type vows. So when looking online, I've noticed that some sites say that the Declaration the Intent (the I do's) can also be used as the vows, and then others say that it is a separate thing. So this has made me a bit confused and hoping I'm doing it right? Is it okay if we say the Declaration of Intent and then our repeated vows right after, or would that be weird?
Here's what I have:
Welcome
Charge to the Couple
Declaration of Intent (I do's)
The Vows (lines repeated after the officiant)
Exchange of Rings (more lines repeated after the officiant)
Marriage Pronouncement
