Decor Duels: String Lights or Uplighting?

I pick string lights because they're so dainty to me!

I love the look of both but it depends on the venue. Hanging string lights in my reception venue would look so odd and out of place. We are doing uplighting for the reception but I loooove string lights for outdoor venues, restaurants, bars, etc.

Uplighting. String lights looks like they would be for a backyard bbq. Just my opinion but to each his own.

Definitely string lights. It looks a little more casual, and it looks good outdoors.

I love string lights so much more, but they would be so awkward with our venue that I'd prefer up lighting.
