Decor help - champagne gold tablecloths

Caitlin, on June 15, 2014 at 12:52 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 4

I was thinking of doing half my tables in the full tablecloth and half with just the sequin table runner with a plain ivory cloth (hopefully photos uploaded). Would that look tacky or elegant?! Thanks all!

(The tablecloths are so darned expensive, I don't want want to spent over $800 on those alone)

I personally don't like the sequined look, but it's definitely not tacky to alternate your table linens.

I personally love the sequin tablecloths! I wanted to do my whole reception in them but after seeing the price I realized that was a no-go for our budget! I'm going to order table linens to match our theme (ivory & pink) and then do the sweetheart table and possibly cake table in gold sequin tablecloth. That way we can still incorporate them while staying on budget! Your idea sounds good as well. Alternating the linens can be really pretty and I would not consider it tacky at all.

I loved the sequin ones, but they didn't really go with my overall look so I opted for a plain champagne tablecloth ($10) and paired it with a lace overlay ($15). Its not tacky to alternate your table linens. I've seen it done. Our sweetheart table will not have the overlay to sort of differentiate it from the rest of the tables (and tabletop decor will be different).

I love the sequin linens and those petal linens but I feel like they are both fighting for attention what if you did one satin or crushed taffeta and one sequin this way they both have texture. I dont think it is tacky AT ALL to alternate them I think its cool and puts thought into the design :-)

I had been researching my linens for weeks till I finally found this cute etsy shop https://www.etsy.com/shop/wedsource?ref=hdr_shop_menu

She is renting them for me $40 each for the 120" round.

She said she will ship them to me to arrive 3 days before my wedding and all I have to do is fold them and put them back in the box and drop off to send back.
