Decor ideas? Venue with rules.

Private User, on April 1, 2013 at 11:27 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 15

My colors are Coral and mint (or meadow according to Davids Bridal)

The rules are simple. Nothing that is not approved by my venue can be affixed to the walls, doors, fixtures or ceilings. It seems pretty vague, but I hope to get a much clearer answer.

No confetti, sand or glitter.

With that being said, I need some ideas. The ceremony is on location outside at a gazebo. I'm not entirely sure if their are restrictions there.

I wanted lots of pearl and lace. Pretty vintage.

Ideas, pictures? Anything?

Can you share some pics of the venue to help us get a better of idea of what you are trying to decorate?

Are you looking for centrepiece ideas or things to dress up the actual room?

My original colours were aqua and peach, so I *may* have some ideas... but very pretty colour scheme Smiley smile

They provide the framed table numbers. Which I actually LOVE. Here is a photo of the Gazebo.

What's the budget on decor like if you don't mind sharing? I think your venue is really pretty and won't need an excessive amount of decor as a lot of areas speak for themselves. With the vintage look it can become quite exxy quite quickly? Are you very crafty - are DIY's an option?

These could be some cute centrepiece ideas - think antique tea sets and high tea settings.

lace covered tealights are an easy DIY- http://www.bellenza.com/wedding-ideas/diy-projects/easy-as-1-2-3-make-your-own-lace-candle-holders.html

lace and pearls draped over centrepieces and even your gazebo?

Instead of throwing confetti or glitter, what about rose petals or bubbles?

The rose petals can go in doily cones which sit with the lace theme.

I have the same issue with my venue as it is a historical home. I have not thought a lot about the ceremony area yet but my centerpieces will have lots of color. I will be adding color through the table cloths etc. Instead of bubbles etc as I am also not allowed to have anything tossed on the floor I am going to be making wedding wands people can wave as we leave the ceremony spot. My colors are similar to yours aqua and burnt orange

There is a fee to clean up petals sadly. I'm good at diy and sewing. The budget is pretty tight.

I would really decorate the aisle of the ceremony and then Im sure it wouldnt be a big deal to hang flower balls by ribbon from your chairs or gazebo nothing is "fixed" it can easily be taken off

You can do ribbon wands so nobody is throwing anything. I agree with Mrs.Eversole, if you use ribbon, you should be okay to hang our aisle decor. Our church had the same rule, and that is what we did. You could also make bows and tie them with a ribbon.

A simple greeting table perfect for vintage Smiley smile Think Mason Jars and Lace. Mod-podge them and you'll love the look, plus it washes of easy. That way you may get people to donate them to your cause then you can wash them and send them home Smiley smile Hope it helps!!
