So my venue is actually pretty big. It’s enough for 50 people for sure. It’s really pretty and even better in person. I have no idea how to decorate it or what to add. There is a balcony inside and a bar as well. I just need help adding some pizazz without overdoing it and spending too much money. I don’t want to spend anymore than 400$ Adding to it since it is naturally pretty. we are having ceremony and reception in the same place. Help?!? I really need some creative ideas to wow our family and friends. I also need help trying to find ways to make it fun. Like a diy photo booth or something.

    What a pretty room!

For my wedding, I was adamant about not overdoing it with decor and not spending a lot. What I would do is suggest floral centerpieces and votive candles for your dinner tables and a floral arch or moon gate for your ceremony space. Everything else is kind of “extra”.
I think once you see all the table clothes on the tables and the pretty flowers, it will look gorgeous!
My floral centerpieces were $60 each. She included votives for each table. My moon gate was $250. I also asked her to make a floral garland for the bar area and a few extra smaller centerpieces for the bar and welcome/gift/escort card table... she also made my bouquet, boutonnières and corsages.
This is just my opinion and experience. I hope you find something that works for you!

Second vote for uplights!! The venue is really pretty and uplighting will really make it pop. You can even do tinted uplights for washes of colors on the walls. I would do that and candles for nice soft dreamy lighting that will look good in pictures.

If you want to do a DIY photo booth, get a med-large ring light on a tripod, they are like $90 and your guests will look great!
I’m prioritizing lighting over florals in my wedding planning just because I want the lighting to be amazing in my pictures.
You can probably even do your own uplight set up, just talk to a rental company who will run you through it and help you pick the right ones.

The venue actually comes with lighting. I can dim them and turn on the colored lights that go up the wall and in the middle of the dance floor that move around. As far as a photo booth, I do want to do that. I also want to have some signage and a little more drape around something else. I just don’t know exactly what to do. We are not hiring a planner or a decorator because our venue was a little above budget and catering is way expensive. So we are decorating on our own. Also, as far as centerpieces go, we are a rustic boho theme (or where until we got out venue) it’s a little more elegant than I wanted but when I walked in my jaw dropped so I’m not really sure on what to do for centerpieces or if I should do chair sashes???

Oh wow that is so awesome that your venue comes with lighting! Do they also have enough tables and chairs for you to use? If so, I bet you got a good deal. Sooooo many places don’t have lighting or enough furniture and renting that stuff gets so costly.

Love the idea of chair sashes and candle/fairy lights.
Here’s a shot of some candles and fairy lights that I’m kind of in love with: https://www.instagram.com/p/CM2V8Nsl5O6/?utm_medium=copy_link

Yes. They provide tables and chairs but we are renting the ones we think are nicer that they offer at 1$ a chair. So 60$ to rent for the entire day and rehearsal for our bridal party. We do however, have to rent table cloths and chair sashes.

Yes ma’am it is! Is it cheaper to rent sashes or buy them? Does every chair need to be decorated ?

It seems like chair sashes run $1-5 each on the cheaper side, so I guess you would just have to compare that to what rental companies in your area charge.

I would probably do every chair if I was going to do chair sashes, but maybe every other chair could look alright?
