Ill be asking my grandpa to borrow his RR to take our photos and ill be putting a "just married banner" on the back, but ill save him the sweaty uncomfortableness of asking him if we can drive away in it 😂

I'm getting married on a golf course so we're decorating a golf cart instead!

When my friend got married we used window paint on their "getaway car" (i.e. her H's car), but no cans. I know that FH doesn't like anyone touching his car, but he might make an exception for this if some of our friends wanted to. I don't know how you'd attach cans though. I think it would drive me nuts! lol

The legalities of the cans on the strings depends on where you live, you’d be best off contacting the local PD on that one.

Our "getaway car" is going to be either a bicycle built for two or a Vespa - carrying us away from our sunset beach wedding in Key West. Probably no cans, but definitely a "Just Married" sign of some kind. And maybe balloons? Smiley smile

However, we'll only be traveling across the street to our hotel, where all our guests/wedding party (10 people in all) will be piling into the hotel shuttle to head downtown to a restaurant for our reception/dinner. It would be wicked cool if the hotel decorated the shuttle bus for us!!

I think the cans on the car is more of a 70's thing, I remember it as a child. No one did that to us now, we kinda threw it out there to NOT do it plus we never finalized how we were getting to the reception so we really weren't sure which car we would be in!!

No one tried to paint our cars or anything - we are a bit older so maybe no one has the energy? LOL!

I don't think it is illegal unless the sound is too loud - but it is more annoying than illegal. Plus it would have to be REALLY loud to break sound ordinances.

We didn't decorate a car but here is someone who did and they did attach stuff to the front and back of the car - banners in the front and cans in the back.

I'd love to have our car decorated, since we'll be going to our honeymoon the day after! I love honking my horn at people with decorated cars or are leaving their ceremony from a church!
We decorated my BIL's car in the hotel parking lot where they were staying, with white washable spray paint, and it was fun!
