Decorating two aisles

amaris, on February 14, 2018 at 4:05 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 16
I’m a DIY bride with a tight budget! And before the church I’m having my ceremony at had a center aisle but after changing the chairs AND CARPET (last minute) I am out of ideas of how to decorate TWO aisles without breaking the bank. I have 4 months till my wedding day!

Decorate every other chair end in both aisles, or the outside chairs of the middle section.

I ordered vases from Dollar Tree and floating candles from quick candles. I'm going to line the aisles and I wanna say I spent about $80-$90 for everything.

Did you get the tall vases from dollar tree? I have only been able to find 9in vases on their site and want taller!
    This is a gorgeous look!

I've been buying those tall vases for my wedding from Michael's. They're expensive though, so I've been buying them 1 at a time using 50% off coupons. I searched high and low for good bulk prices on them and got nothing that come from sketchy overseas company.

Hey there! Do you have a picture of the venue without decoration so we can see what would compliment it? Are you thinking ribbons, flowers, candles, lanterns...? And have you checked what the venue allows? At the place where I had my ceremony I was very restricted as to what I could do to decorate, and I ended up just skipping this detail.

Honestly, no one remembers aisle decorations and I doubt most people will even notice them. If you're on a tight budget, I wouldn't waste the money.

We're doing beach-themed lanterns but they're also going to be our reception centerpieces.

Agree with PP. Decorate every 2nd or 3rd aisle end so you have less to buy. Most dollar stores have a large selection of clear glass vases and candle holders.

Goodwill is your best friend. I have hit up every Goodwill and thrift store in my area about once a week, and have over 80 vases. Total cost? Less than $100. Even scored a handful of the big vases for less than $5 each.

Those chairs don’t seem to be permanent, unless my eyes are failing me. Is there any possibility your DOC could create a singular aisle for the ceremony?

If the chairs can't be moved and you end up with two aisles, is your guest list large enough that you need to use all 3 sections? If you can seat everyone on only two sections, you can tie off one aisle with a ribbon and only use the other aisle.

If you end up with 2 aisles, you can process up one aisle and recess down the other.

You don't need to decorate every row or even every second or third row. You can place something by the back row of chairs and the front row and call it a day.

Rah they aren’t permanent and we were expecting to be able to move them but the pastor isn’t allowing us to move any of the chairs sadly even after trying to convince him.

Well THAT stinks! Muriel’s advice was pretty perfect for this situation. Good luck!
