I’m getting married in mid august at a beautiful castle! I feel like I have a good idea of what I want, but it seems all over the place at the same time. Any advice on how to keep my decor from looking like I picked three different styles !?

If you like three different styles, why not incorporate them all? You could do one decor style/theme for the ceremony, a different one for cocktail hour, and a different one for the reception! That way, you can incorporate everything you like. Otherwise, if you prefer to stick to just one decor style, pick an overall theme that best suits you and your fiance, and only look for decor that matches that theme.

I know this sounds super silly, but I actually printed everything that I wanted for my tables, cut them out and glued them on paper. Maybe doing something like this will help visualize the decor ?

What are the three different decor styles that you have in mind? Are they totally different from one another. I think it’s fine to have a slightly different decor for ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. But at the same time, there should still be a common coordinating of the decor elements (or theme) that leads one to the next without looking disjointed.

Can you share pics of your venue? What are the styles you want? Maybe 2 will play nicely together?

I’m getting married in a stone castle so it has its own character, where I feel like I don’t need to decorate that much. But I do have a vision and I’ll share them! Decorating 1

That’s beautiful! I can see that vision. Why do you think it’s all over the place?

I finally saw this this yesterday and fell in love lol so I feel a little better about it! My bridesmaids I do want in different colors though. in navy, burgundy, green and possibly a blush pink. I have six girls so possibly have two in each color.

Sounds like a beautiful idea! I love that you're getting married in a stone castle. That would be my ultimate dream. Incorporating different things from various styles is what makes it your own. I'm getting married in a historic country dance hall. Now, I am anything but "rustic" but I want to stay true to my venue. So I'm having some simple things like wildflower bud vases on wood tables, no tablecloths... But also having silver platters on the dessert table, green velvet table runners, and I wearing a damn crown! Lol

I don't have a wedding party except for 2 best men and my parents, so I just told them the color pallet and am letting them pick, for better or worse Smiley tongue

My styles are ALL OVER THE PLACE. It started with goth boho but there's a lot of DIY elements, our guest book is a soccer ball (because we both love soccer) and our cake topper is 2 squirrels (for the squirrel we befriended during quarantine) . They are all things that mean a lot to us as a couple, so i say, forget so much the style and think about how you can express yourselves in the decor. Little touches like that are what people will remember
