Decorations for a boring church

Samantha, on September 21, 2012 at 12:29 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 6

How can I decorate our church. It's very big and very plain. It's just a big room with wooden pews, a flat stage with a multi toned stone wall behind it and a brushed metal dove hanging on the wall. It's a nice clean looking church but I don't know how to decorate it for a wedding especially since its not very traditional (which is fine we're going more nontraditional anyway) so I'm open to unique ideas!

I would love to offer some suggestion, but a picture would help. Also, what are your colors and your theme.

You can always go the tulle, flower, pew ribbon route.

I made moss wreaths for my daughter's pew decorations. You can't really see them on the pews.

Welcome to WW, Samantha! Do you happen to have any pictures of the space? That might help us give you better ideas. The first thoughts I had is you can dew pew bows or another pew decoration to hang at the end of the pews down the aisle where you'll be walking.

On the stage, you can get an arch and decorate it with tulle, flowers, whatever that will match the vision you are going for. It'll also create a center for everyone to look at and look nice in pictures.

And I hope you'll update your avatar to something unique, so we can remember you and help you more in the future! The default avatars can get lost in the crowd or ignored. Over the top and gorgeous....

It really does depend on style, budget, and what your church allows.

    Good luck!

Well, depending on what the church will allow, you might be able to do vases at the end of the pews, or perhaps candles (possibly flameless ones). I've also seen hanging mason jars. But find out what the church will even allow first.

And if you click the link I posted and read through it, it'll give you the steps to post a picture to replace the default avatar.
