Delay in response by vendors

Are you reaching out to vendors through this site? If so, for any vendors you find on here, I would instead try going to the vendors' websites directly, and contact them through there. Some of them don't check their messages on WeddingWire that often, and you may get quicker response times by reaching out through their own sites and/or on their business social media pages.

You will get faster feedback from vendors if you reach out on their own actual websites. Don’t go through a third party that they won’t see because it ends up in their junk folders.


Seek out vendors via Instagram, Google and Yelp, and vet them through Yelp which doesn’t allow removal of bad reviews at the vendor’s request as TheKnot does. Then contact them directly at their official websites.

View Quoted Comment It’s impossible to say without knowing your area (city, state) or budget because this is an international forum and everyone has different budgets and priorities. Some couples prefer an all inclusive where you are given a list of vendors to pick from that are approved by the venue (which may or may not be in your budget), and other couples prefer to pick their own vendors. Honestly, check Instagram for your city and Yelp for your city. Read reviews, check out websites to contact them directly and meet with them for a consultation if you feel they offer what you want. Skip them if they don’t have prices listed on their website. Don’t feel obligated to use specific vendors or services if they don’t fit your budget or vision.
