I fly fairly often, and I have never had a bad experience with Delta.

United, on the other hand, I would never recommend.

I always just choose the cheapest flight. Be careful, some airlines (like Spirit and Frontier) are charging carry on fees, which is ridiculous. I factor that into the total cost of flying whenever I make my choice.

I usually fly us airways, but have had good experiences with delta in the past. It is really similar to any of the other major airlines, us airways, American, United. Yeah there is someone that has had a bad experience with any airline, but they are all pretty similar. They only airlines that there is a major difference is the budget airlines like southwest. Personally I HATE flying southwest. They don't assign seats which I don't like. And it is an airline that targets to families, I would rather fly a more business focused airline.

Delta is based out of Atlanta. It's my preferred airline. Always a good experience, but I agree that most airlines are pretty much the same. With Delta you have to pay to check all bags, but your carry on is free.

I booked Delta. We considered driving to Denver (like some posters suggested) but it's an extra few hours of driving. Where we live to Omaha is 3.5 hours. We plan on leaving home at 8-8:30 to arrive by 12:30 for a 1:30 flight. Denver is 6.4 hours from home to the airport.

I try to exclusively fly SouthWest. Other than a delayed flight due to a ground stop, I haven't had any issues with them. A plus, they have a FREE checked bag and still serve snacks (peanuts/pretzels and a drink!). Although, I know that SW doesn't have hubs in every major airport so there's that, too.

I fly Delta only (unless they dont travel to my destination, at which case I take Delta as far as I can!)...I've never had a problem with delays or anything...

I love Delta. We always use them because they usually have $200 tickets with no lay overs..in the states of course!

We have a 2.5 hour layover on our way to Vegas, in Atlanta. We paid $337 per person roundtrip.

Spirit used to be the cheapest and I would fly them over Delta. Then they started charging for EVERYTHING.

I switched over to Delta and I love it. You don't pay for a carry-on but you do pay for a checked bag. We flew from Detroit to San Francisco and had no lay-over and they had touch screen monitor/tablets on the back of every seat. You can watch movies, play games, listen to music, etc on it. It kept me very entertained and was free (I had my own headphones).

For a shorter flight from Detroit to Tampa, it was an older/smaller plane so monitor but it still went good. I prefer Delta over any airline at this time.
