Depression

kim, on January 29, 2021 at 10:58 AM Posted in Planning 1 14
I have been so depressed since having to cancel my wedding 3 times and I really feel it will never happen. Not sure how to feel right now because this COVID-19 has cause the unhappiness. Is anyone feeling the same.

Sending hugs to you Kim. Smiley heart Having to postpone time and time again is def. emotionally tolling, and I'm so sorry you're going through this.

I've been a little sad during the wedding planning process. I always imagined my mom being right beside me to help plan, but since she lives in another state, and because of covid, it's been hard planning without her. We're still not 100% sure if she'll be able to come dress shopping with me.

I hope things get a little brighter for you.

COVID has impacted everyone's lives in one way or another, and it's easy to get down. And I can imagine how difficult it is to go through all of this without your mom. Hang in there. We are here for you. I'm sending warm thoughts and hugs your way! Smiley heart

Sending hugs girl! There’s so many aspects of this that I get super excited about. I’d love to have my mother with me but she passed (on my birthday) 3 yrs ago.

Guilty here 🖐🏻. I think I am depressed. I have barely anyone to talk about my wedding planning. And I haven’t been out of the house (not even my own yard) for weeks. I spent my time in bed, bathtub (4-6 hours!), and the rest kitchen or diningroom. I have no desire to do anything. I just chat with family and besties, scrolling on social media. WW help me a tad bit to still motivate me with this whole wedding crap. When I feel down, I want to cancel this whole thing and just go away far away and start my life new 😞

Sending virtual hugs and support! It’s such a difficult time and there’s so much grieving taking place. I’ve certainly struggled with sadness myself, induced by the pandemic overall and separation from family and missing loved ones. If you’re open to seeing a therapist, or looking into reiki or other healing practices that’s been really helpful for me. ( I am a psychologist myself so I will admit there’s a bias there too). But I’d suggest doing what you need to do to protect your peace as best you can. And acknowledge all the emotions that come up.

Planning a wedding during covid is so difficult. We are getting married in March and it's still unknown. I've had to accept that my family from out of state will probably not come. That has been very hard for me. I hope that you get to have the wedding of your dreams soon

I have Major Depressive Disorder and things like this can really affect it. This is why my fiancé and I picked a date where we would get married no matter what and offered to do a celebration/ceremony when things have settled down. Covid has been really hard on me and I wouldn’t be able to do what you’ve done without losing my mind, so it’s ok to feel a little down. Just remember, it’ll happen when the time is right for you guys, one way or another.

I don't even know what to say about this. But it sounds very serious. My nephew had such a situation, I am very glad that everything has improved for him. My nephew told me how he solved this problem, but I haven't forgotten yet.
