Designer wedding shoes! What are the most comfortable brand?

margarita, on March 23, 2015 at 1:18 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 12

Hello Brides!! I want to invest in a pair of heels, kind of like a wedding gift to myself as well Smiley smile I heard that Jimmy Choo is the most comfortable 'high end" shoe. I do not want anything that is white, or satin as I would like to wear the shoe again after my wedding. I am also wearing a satin, trumpet cut dress in ivory. I think a nude strappy heel may be best. Do you have any suggestions at all?? I appreciate it Smiley smile xo

I am following this post. I want to wear heels that are sexy but comfortable so I am going to invest in a "high end" pair as well.

I've heard the Stuart Weitzman "nudist" evening sandals are pretty comfortable.

I'm a HUGE Kenneth Cole fan...I don't own one pair of shoes (about a half dozen) by KC that aren't comfortable. Nina are also comfy and have a great selection. Nine West is another go-to

My daughter went to Nordstrom with me to look at shoes. She picked up a pair of Jimmy Choo's and I laughed at her and told her to look at the price. She looked and made a surprised face and set them down. For $950 I hope they are comfortable shoes!!!!!!

Jimmy Choo's are not comfortable, neither are Manolo Blahnik's or Louboutin's (all very high end, like $600-$1000 or more). When you buy a pair of high end shoes, you are not buying them to be comfortable. I personally don't wear heels a lot, so that may be why I find them to be uncomfortable, but my older sister, a shoe fanatic, owns a few of each brand (and many other high end pairs), and even she admits she doesn't buy them for comfort. They are a status symbol. But your local Nordstrom shoe department (or Saks, or Neiman's) can guide you in that purchase. They sometimes come with a pretty storage bag! And the upper part is usually so well made that you can get them resoled if you wear out the sole.

ETA - my sister clearly has more money than me, I can hardly justify $100 on shoes. I'm trying to suck it up and spend that on my wedding shoes, even after FH told me to just do it and quit stressing about the money. But my sister and I have the same size feet, so sometimes I play dress up at her house! (:

I have a couple of pairs of Louboutins and they are the most uncomfortable shoes ever. The designer himself says he designs his shoes for style not comfort so I should have known! My two most recent pairs I got about a year ago and they are still not that comfy. The sizing on CL's are very different style to style so if you go that route you should try them on in person if you can.

I just bought my Jimmy Choos today! They are SO comfortable and a champagne color. They are only about 3 inches tall!

Hey Lady are custom made bridal shoes that are super comfortable. Apparently they are designed with the linings of running shoes. Compared to Jimmy Choo and Stuart Weitzman, they are a lower price point.

@Beth - I just looked at those shoes. Now I wish I had $300 for a pair of shoes.

I know. I wanted a pair so badly! They are so cute but, I just couldn't justify a pair of shoes for one day. I'd probably buy a really cute pair for work. And then wear them every day for 5 years. lol
