Dessert Buffet/ Viennese hour: what Desserts would you include?

Chesty LaRue, on April 19, 2011 at 12:26 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 9

I want to do a dessert bar in addition to the wedding cake and Im looking for some ideas and/or quick easy recipes.

So far I think I'm gonna have parfait, banana pudding, cookies, brownies, cheese cake stuffed strawberries. A friend of mine also has a small business bakery. She has a etsy shop (if you are in NY try her out) http://www.etsy.com/shop/thechocolatemuffin Im gonna get two full sheet cakes and cut them into small sample squares. Im gonna order the carrot cake and the pina coco.

What would you add? Whats your favorite dessert and/or recipe?

Those cheescake stuffed strawberries sound delish!

We are also doing this with our venue. They have cream puffs, mini eclairs and mini fruit tarts too. Bad thing about having parfait and banana pudding is having to have bowls and spoons. All the other don't need utensils and could save money if you are doing self catering.

I just thought of this dessert for a friends baby shower. Put a marshmallow on a skewer, dip top in melted chocolate then dip in crushed graham crackers. Smores on a stick!

Those cups are cute Chuwana! I like them a lot. I went to a bridal show and they had these chocolate desserts and the sppons were small silver spoons. And it was so good!
