Oh wow. Only thing I think we might DIY is some small stuff like table numbers and card box and maaaaybe flowers through bloominous (but that gets sent to the venue) good luck!

I should have taken a picture of our cars before we left to drive 1 hour to the blocked hotel in Denver. It was INSANE.

Oh I remember the madness of packing! My destination wedding was international so we had to fly there and it was crazy! I got most of it locally tho to avoid a bigger headache but of course there’s stuff you just always end up taking with you and I had 5 luggage (3 big and 2 carry on) in the end, 2 book bags plus wedding dress and husband tux. Right when I walked to check in they told me my two garments were so big they count as a carry on so I had to check in my carry on. I started bawling in the middle of the airport. I had a lot of fragile stuff and values. It was crazy to say the least!

Yes, that can be the reality of a destination wedding with a lot of DIY and other decorating.

We’re having a DW in Vegas. But thankfully our venue doesn’t require any major decorating, outside of a few small centerpieces and votives provided by the florist (otherwise anything more would compete with the venue’s decor).

Once we decided on a DW, I knew there was NO WAY we’d load a bunch of stuff with us. Plus, we need to fly from the wedding to our honeymoon the next day and weren’t going to stick people with our cleanup. A major help is that I’m doing zero DIY for our wedding and anything we need can be shipped directly to the venue if it doesn’t fit in our luggage. So that’s a relief.

    Congrats and best wishes!!!

We had a local wedding (45 mins away) and we had a car, suv, a pickup truck and a mini van packed so I can definitely relate.

DW for me too, but I'm making sure it all gets handled locally. I am so worried about hauling everything with me, I want to be stress-free (or not super stressed out) with the intent of enjoying my time with my FH, my immediate family and his immediate family Smiley heart

I hope I don't need to check in my dress...

We were lucky and had some stuff shipped to my parents bc they have a minivan and could haul more stuff than us and my ILs live 5 minutes from where our reception was so we shipped the bigger stuff there so I didn't have near as much to haul across half the country! Lol

This is the way my house looks! I'm doing a lot of DIY for my wedding as well as trying to get everything packed up to move into my fiances house. On top of that my shower was last weekend and I need to send out thank you cards, so I have all the gifts that I received. I would have taken them right to my fiances house, but my sister didn't keep a very good list of who gave me what so I have to figure that out.
