Destination Wedding Brides

Hi everyone, I am planning a destination wedding in Mykonos, Greece but am having the hardest time finding a venue for my reception. I plan to only have 25-30 guests so I don’t want to spend a lot of money on a top- of-the-line venue that is meant to accommodate hundreds of people. I am looking for suggestions because a friend told me if I search venues in Greece on WeddingWire, it doesn’t display all venues. I’ve found some amazing venues in a Santorini, but am starting to prefer Mykonos because I like the beaches there a little better, and I know that will be important to many of my guests as well. So.... Mykonos venue suggestions please!!! Thank you Smiley smile

You should look up “elopement” or “intimate” packages in Greece, they have some AWESOME venues for 20-25 people. We were thinking about eloping there and we found some amazing venues and packages. Dana villas was our top choice, there is also a beautiful winery that we looked at

Hi Christina! Have you thought about hiring a wedding planner who is based in Greece? Santorini and Mykonos are both small islands, so I'm sure they're wedding network is very connected!

I'd also look at hotels & resorts on the island to see what their wedding spaces look like! Kivotos Luxury Boutique has a private chapel on the beach and offers wedding packages.

    Hi there! Congratulations!!!

I would start off by establishing a clear vision of what you want the evening to look and feel like. For example, create a mood board and establish your wedding style. Once you've nailed that down, try to find a location that best matches that look and feel. This will make sure you don't book a venue that doesn't match.

Have you looked into restaurants that offer wedding packages? They would be able to host the amount of guests on your list easily, and you won't have a venue fee
(although you might have a ceremony fee).

Another idea is looking into hotels and resorts. They have experience with weddings and everything will be all included.

Before you book anything, I would make sure you both absolutely love everything about the venue or location that you do decide on though, don't rush the decision! In my opinion, even if you need to spend a little bit of money on a venue you love, it's well worth the money as it truly creates the entire look and feeling of the event, and what guests will remember most.
