Hey lovely’s!! So our wedding was supposed to be this past November and it was cancelled due to covid and now our venue is giving us a hard time rescheduling for a new date because of the uncertainty of another possible shutdown, so right now they still have our money and we have no new date! 😑😤 so anywho we are considering just cancelling the whole thing, demanding our money back and starting over with a destination wedding with our closest family and friends!! We are thinking Mexico or Dominican Republic, can all my destination brides give me some input, pros and cons, how easy/hard is the process... all the jazz!!! ☺️ Give this bride some hopeeee 😩🙌🏼 cfb_1441173.jpg

We are going to a Sandals in Jamaica. Low covid numbers was the biggest factor in choosing that island. Very easy credentials to get a license. Our wedding is in April. We have both a 'wedding concierge' and a 'wedding planner' included in the cost. So far everything is great. It's not cheap, but we feel safe to go there and get married. There are many other locations from which to choose, but the one we found 'fit' us best. We didn't want a beach wedding. They call it a WeddingMoon. Our state requires a legal ceremony here, so we'll just go to the minister's office when we return. To us, our 'real' wedding date will be April 9th. We are planning a large (about 250-300 guests) stateside reception in November 2021.

Hope you find the perfect location!! I know you will. ❤

I’m sorry you’re going through all of that. My friends got married in Hawaii and I have another couple that got married in the Dominican Republic. Both weddings looked absolutely gorgeous. The beauty of a destination wedding is you get a trip with your closest friends and family, along with a fairly simple wedding. The beauty of the surroundings take care of the “decorations”. A lot less of a hassle if you ask me. A lot of places will give you freebies or extras for having your wedding/honeymoon there. I wish you the best! 💗 Good luck and congratulations!
