Destination Wedding

Tristen, on September 12, 2019 at 2:52 AM Posted in Oregon Planning 1 3
We’re trying to plan a destination wedding in Bend, OR. We are looking to rent multiple houses/townhouses/properties that are in close proximity of each other to house everyone coming out of town. Ideally, we need to rent 6 properties. Any ideas/tips/advice of reserving and renting multiple properties very close to each other? Multiple families will be staying in one house together, probably 10 people per house. I’ve looked at Airbnb and VRBO but all that I’ve searched are single rentals that require lots of planning and mapping.

    Hey there, Tristen!

It will be lovely to have all your guests staying in close proximity together!

I'm afraid Airbnb and VRBO are the best options I'm aware of. Perhaps the venue coordinator of where you're having the wedding may have suggestions for ways to search and book local accommodation.

Is a hotel block completely out of the question for your wedding?

Call Meredith lodging! They have a bunch of rentals in Bend/ central oregon. My friend works there and everyone there is super helpful when planning & booking! Good luck!

I live in Sunriver (20 minutes south of Bend) and it's full of rentals! Some are more formal and part of the resort, where others are vacation homes for people who live in the area part-time. Airbnb might be the best way to find those that are not part of the resort, but I would suggest being open with the proximity of where you are searching. Central Oregon is a bit spread out, but very easy and quick to hop around, so I wouldn't hesitate searching outside city limits.

Another thought, if you haven't selected your venue yet, is considering places like Crescent Lake or Suttle Lake that have cabin housing for all your guests!
