Diamond Resorts Free Cruise...scam?

I went to a bridal show today and paid $200 for a 3 night 4 day vacation with Diamond Resorts. If we sat through their timeshare presentation we would get two free cruise tickets. We had already paid the $200 and after was told it was a timeshare. I researched them online and across the internet only found the worst reviews. We called after we got home to cancel everything and ask for a refund. Does anybody have any experience with this company?

I purchased a package of the starter trip, the cruise, and 7 night vacation I was told could be used in Hawaii. Has anyone purchased something similar? They’ve extended the time I have to book to June 2021 instead of December. Still not sure I’d be comfortable traveling due to Covid.

Ugh! Stuff like that is very popular. I look at that stuff like scams. Now, idk if they're really true scams but that ALWAYS happens. Especially when you're already on vacation, they try to really get you. But yes, i learned from the first time that happened to me years ago at a resort. We said no after the presentation, still got free resort credit and a free night and didnt pay anything. But places WILL do what they did to you. Smh what a shame. I would just keep researching and try your best to get in touch with someone for a refund. Thats terrible.
