Did anyone accidentally find out their FH was gonna propose?

I was house sitting for FH while he was on a boys trip. I had taken off my watch and couldn't find it. I thought perhaps it had fallen into the dresser drawer that was ajar. Well the watch wasn't in there but a ring box was. FH had bought it 2 months earlier on a trip to visit family. Since that trip, he was saying things like "in the not-so-distant future..." which was actually weirding me out because I was not in a good emotional place at the time. He proposed a month later, but we actually didn't get engaged until 8 months after the proposal.

I had been waiting on it for what felt like forever. I thought he was going to do it over the 4th of July with my family. he didn't. Our dating anniversary came and went - still nothing. My birthday, nothing. I was so upset. We fought about it and then got over it. Several weeks went by - we were doing family pictures with his family and he did it at the end of that. I was so shocked. I was also so so grateful for the way it was done.

I had no idea. Somehow my fiance managed to get me out on our boat, alone, on the fourth of july, for the fireworks, and suggest we bring champagne, and I didn't catch on.

I was ordering something from Amazon and FH threw me his wallet so I could get his debit card out. I open it and start looking for his card and then I see a Jared credit card in there. I tried my best to act like I didn't see it. So right then and there I knew he bought it. Just had no idea when he was going to propose. A couple months later for my birthday weekend we went on vacation to FL. FH wouldn't let his bag out of his sight and even took it into the bathroom with him when he showered. I knew something was up. lol. on my bday night he ended up proposing while we were watching the sunset at the beach.

My FH and I were planning a vacation for our anniversary, and we had saved up a good bit of money to put towards it - well, I went to book the hotel and FH asks me to wait to book the hotel (it was only one night since we would be staying with family the rest of the trip) and so I do, but it was getting really close to time for our trip. The next day, he texted me that he was coming home from work so I could start dinner, but took about 3x as long as normal to get home. So a few days later he asks if I mind if we skip the hotel because finances are tighter than expected, but since we live together I know exactly how much we should have and it should be plenty for one night one top of the trip. Made me suspicious, and I was right! He cut into vacation fund for the ring lol. Made it a bit of a joke in his proposal "I'm sorry we didn't get as big of a trip as we wanted, here's why". Was very sweet but as soon as I knew how much trip money was gone, I knew.

I knew it was coming, but not so soon. We'd been talking about getting married for a long time, and he'd talked to my parents (not a great conversation, but whatever) last April. We decided to be employed for 6 months and then engaged for six months. Well, we had JUST talked about whether to put the engagement off any longer (he'd only been employed with this job for just under 5 months) and an hour later he proposes. I was so surprised that I just kept staring at him and the ring and the sign and asking him if he was serious. It took me five minutes to say yes, and I'm pretty sure it freaked him out even though we knew we were getting married.

Yep! I asked FH to look something up when we were cooking in the kitchen. He turned on his phone and it was already on a picture of an engagement ring. He hurried and exited, but it was too late. He saw my face (which was trying to suppress a smile) and said "you didn't see that, did you?" I said "nope" and went on my way...but he obviously knew I saw.

He proposed four months later.

I always teased him when we would go by a jewlery store....I'd say you can go in there and look....my son (his soon to be step son) was with us one time at the mall for the easter bunny and I said that and my kiddo said. He doesn't need to go in there. I just looked at fh and he said Dylan shhhh. He had planned on asking me with the help of my then 8 year old. So he proposed on Easter lol

I designed a ring on a custom jewelry website and texted it FH. He texted me and told me that he thought it was beautiful. He asked me if that was the ring I wanted and I told him, "Yes." He said I'd get it soon. I had a feeling he was buying it on the spot. He would hint to my daughter and I, saying things like, "I can't wait to call her my daughter" and asking her, "Can I be your other daddy soon?"

He proposed a month after I texted the picture to him.

H and I had gone shopping for rings so I knew it was coming up.

The story of how I knew requires a little bit of a backstory though. So, there is this taco place I LOVE that you can earn points with if you link your card so each time you swipe, you get the points. It's awesome, and I used H's card once to sign up so I could get the points whenever I went, or whenever he went without me. But, this linked the card to my email so anytime he went, I also got the receipt. This happened with a couple other places, including the ring shop. So, when H bought the ring, the receipt was emailed to me. lol.

I had an idea! FH wanted to go out for one last fancy dinner and he kept saying all day hey why don't you go get a new dress and shoes. Than when we went to dinner he kept saying let's go for a walk afterward lol I was still surprised when he asked me after dinner

We got engaged in Magic Kingdom during fireworks. As we were walking to find our spots to watch it, my brothers (now ex) girlfriend shouts out, "life changing fireworks ahead!" I knew instantly and he was so pissed.

I knew it was going to happen. We were headed to Orlando, and my dad texted him saying that he was so excited that he was going to ask me. So my FH showed me the text saying he didnt know what he was talking about. He kinda gave it away...men! lol

I knew and I don't know how. I told my best friend about a month before he proposed that I felt like he was going to propose. He ordered the ring from Blue Nile and I had to sign for it! Haha. But there was no return info on box so I had no idea, but I knew it was my Christmas present. I texted my friend all disappointed because I never thought in a million years he'd order a ring online so I was convinced it wasn't happening. But then when he got home from work and was acting like an excited little kid I thought something was up. Well he couldn't hold in the surprise because he proposed about an hour after he got home while I was feeding the cat! Even though I could tell he was going to do it was still a little bit of a surprise somehow.

Oh yeah, months before. I was on our computer, he left his email up (seriously.. men..lol) and the most recent email was from a jewelry store discussing engagement rings. I was giddy but also like "how the f*ck am I going to keep this a secret for the next 3 months?" (I'm a terrible secret keeper), and 3 months because we were going on vacation right around my birthday so I assumed it would happen then. It did. It was still amazing!

We were on vacation with my family (we do that every year) and I had strongly hinted that while I was out of town beforehand would be a great time to get a ring without me noticing. Then one day on vacation he asked if I wanted to take a walk to the beach with him after dinner (weird for him) and then I saw something in his pocket. Being the asshole that I am, I tried to touch it/his pocket and he totally freaked and jerked away from me. So I knew, and then I literally thought I was going to die of anxiety and I texted my friend "omg I think he's about to do it." and he did

Yeah, I knew. He took me to a local jeweler to design a ring since I couldn't find what I wanted anywhere, so I knew it was coming within the next few months. I then found the ring while putting laundry away (he really did a horrible job of hiding it...like literally threw 1 whole sock over top of the box). Gotta love him.

I had accidentally founcd a mailer from

the jewelry store AND saw an email from the bill before my FH proposed! Our BM now who is our joined best friend talked me out of every single suspission I had and I was so happy it was a surprise!!!
