Did anyone buy Wedding Insurance?

Amanda, on March 27, 2020 at 4:22 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 3
Hello everyone!

Our original date was May 3, 2020. We postponed when my fiancé’s family couldn’t travel due to the virus. Did anyone get wedding insurance? If so, have you been reimbursed for postponing yet? What’s the name of the company? It seems like everything I find online is reviewed as being a scam.

From what I’ve heard, most wedding insurance won’t cover cancellations because of the virus unless it was bought like before December. Smiley sad

Most insurance (wedding or otherwise) dont cover "acts of god" which is the category this situation falls into unfortunately

Hi Amanda! All insurance policies have some limitations and exclusions, so you would need to check with the individual companies about their plans and policies. Even if they don't cover cancellation or postponement due to pandemic, it's still worth considering a policy for other reasons. Here's an article with some info: Why You Need Wedding Insurance .
