Did anyone or is anyone wearing flats on their wedding day instead of high heels?

I heard so many stories about the bride's feet hurting the day of the wedding because of their shoes, and I really want to be comfortable. I'm just not sure how it would look wearing flats. I'm also having my fitting done soon and I have to bring my shoes with me. If you were flats for on your...

If you were flats for on your weeding, can you attach a pic below?

Flats work for some people but I don't feel girly or dressed up in flats. So I will be wearing heels.

My dress is tea length, I'm wearing heels for ceremony/pictures but for reception and dancing my FH and I are both changing into custom shoes! I got Keds, he got Vans. Mine even have my new initials on them! Excuse the bad lighting...

My FH asked me to wear flats because he is not very tall. I will also be having the ceremony and cocktail hour in the grass so flats will be easier to get around in.

I'm having some custom white camo heels made for the ceremony and wearing flats for the reception. Mostly because I suck in heels..and I kinda want to have my heels sitting out at the reception to show them off. Smiley winking

I'm wearing flats, FH and I are the same height with no shoes, I'd look like a giant next to him in heels lol. I've worn sneakers or work boots most my life so I'd fall on face in 2 seconds anyway. Ive been wearing them a couple hours a day for the past week to break them in.

I think it's a great idea, and will probably be wearing flats myself. Having fun dancing, being comfortable, and being able to walk seem more important than sticking to a tradition.

@LindsayO I love the lace Toms, I might even steal your idea!

@Patches the ballet look is so cute. Nice to add a bit of color too.

I don't have a pic yet (still choosing shoes!) but I'm definitely wearing flats. I'm 5'9", FH is 5'10"... if I wore heels, I'd be towering over him AND my feet would hurt. No thank you! Also, my father is very short (5'4"!) so I really don't need any extra height to complicate the father daughter dance.

One of my friends suggested that I could get heels to wear for the rehearsal dinner and some of the pictures on my wedding day, but I definitely don't care enough to worry about whether or not I'm in heels in any of my pictures!

I'm tall so I never really wear heels and did not want to try it out on my wedding day in a wedding dress (which I also won't be used to wearing!) I bought these fancy sandals and love them.

I'm planning on wearing sparkly Kate Spade sneakers for my reception. My wedding is in January so I bought boots to wear for outdoor pictures if there is snow. I was thinking of getting flats for the Church to be a bit more formal. I'm not sure what to get. My feet are wide and ballet flats aren't always comfortable.

I did flats similar to the top picture for the ceremony.

For the reception, I wore custom Doctor Who chucks. Smiley smile

I got some hand painted toms on etsy. I love them!! I figure my gown will be altered to be just long enough you cannot even see the shoes unless I purposely pull up the dress to show them Smiley smile attaching a photo of my shoes!

I'm wearing flats. MY FH is only a couple inches taller than me, and prefers to keep it that way! I also hate wearing heels.

I haven't found the perfect ones yet, but I'll be wearing flats to avoid being taller than FH.

I wore flats. My husband is not that tall so I didn't want to be taller than him and I'm glad I did. The flats I got were $15 at Charlotte Russe, lace flats and so comfortable! I bought heels for pictures but flats the rest of the night. Comfort is everything! Plus they couldn't see my shoes under my long dress.
