Did anyone or is anyone wearing flats on their wedding day instead of high heels?

I heard so many stories about the bride's feet hurting the day of the wedding because of their shoes, and I really want to be comfortable. I'm just not sure how it would look wearing flats. I'm also having my fitting done soon and I have to bring my shoes with me. If you were flats for on your...

If you were flats for on your weeding, can you attach a pic below?

I wore heels for the ceremony and photos, but changed into flats for the reception. The dress was hemmed for the heels so I had to hold the skirt up a little for the reception, but that was just fine.

I don't plan in wearing flats or heels. I plan on wearing sneakers i like comfort and i would fall in the other two because i don't wear either one besides my twice in my lifetime.

I am wearing flats. I have a bad hip that needs to be replaced so no heels for me. I have an inspiration picture but can't find any that match it yet

I plan on wearing flats. I also made a glass box for my heels to go in and will be on display at my reception. I will put them on just before the groom takes off my garter then right back to my flats!

I'm not wearing flats (I have some low heels to break in over the next two months), but I had a friend wear some really cute blue flats at her wedding. I don't think anyone really noticed except for when she sat during her Catholic ceremony.

I'm wearing heels simply to save money on getting the hem fixed. Plenty of people wear flats though.

Dyeables. Bought them on Amazon. True to size! A little glitz and a tiny little kitten heel to give me a little lift and a little poise while I walked. Was comfortable the WHOLE DAY (12pm-3am). BEST decision EVER!!!!!!!

I wore flats and wouldn't do it any other way!

They were lovely but I don't even know that anyone saw them.

I really love heels and can walk in them fine and have a few pretty pairs I was thinking of using for my wedding but.... it is 100% outdoors on grass and dirt and gravel. My seamstress suggested I buy a pair of wedges for the height of the heels but so I won't sink into the ground. I personally am not a fan of wedges. They remind me of high school or college and are just tacky to me. Except in a bootie. I definitely don't want to buy wedges. No personal judgment if you're wearing wedges, I just really don't want them.

So now I'm thinking of flats. I was looking at those lace-up flats that are popular on instagram, I think it's the Loeffler Randal ones. They are like $300 though and I can't picture wearing them that often. So I was thinking I have a cute pair of menswear inspired brogues. I might just wear those. Would be cute with my fluffy tulle ball gown I think.

I'm wearing flats. I don't wear heels very often so I knew I'd only wear them for the ceremony anyway. My seamstress said I had to make a definite decision so she knew how much to hem. And she said nobody can see your shoes anyway under a long gown. So I told her flats, otherwise I'd end up tripping on the gown soon as the heels came off. She did an awesome job BUT she did make it just a smidge shorter than I expected but at least I won't trip!

I'm having my dress hemmed with my flats on. I'll be wearing a low 2.5" heel for the ceremony, pictures and first dance, then switching to the flats to dance the night away. One of the photo op sites is 500m walk through the forest, so probably flats for that site as well.

I would prefer to show off my fancy heels during the walk down the aisle, then trip over my dress during dancing while wearing the flats. Smiley tongue

I'd love to wear flats, but I also don't want to look like a child next to my FH like I normally do. For this reason, I will be wearing a heel of some size. #shortpeopleproblems

I had 5 inch heels because my husband is 6 inches taller then me and I didn't want my neck to be at a 90 degree angle all night just to look at him (especially while dancing). I hardly ever wear heals and I was still able to dance all night with them. I think with everything going on my feet were the last thing on my mind. On the other hand I was wearing a ballgown and so not a single person saw them. I think I spent way too much energy and money worrying about something that was completely hidden. Because I will never wear these expensive shoes again I'm getting a dome to put them in for a cinderella/beauty and the beast type of thing.

I would say the biggest thing to look at is what kind of dress you have. If you decide you want heels you can always bring some comfortable flats to change into if at any point you are done with the heels.
