Did anyone regret not having a veil?

mrswinteriscoming, on November 22, 2021 at 5:08 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 1 9
I am having a large crown on my wedding day but I never intended on wearing a veil.
I'm now 19 days away and I can quickly order one still but I'm not sure if I'm just overthinking it or if I will regret not having one.
Did anyone here not have a veil and regret not having one afterward?

No regrets here! And I was worried I might have second thoughts. But I've never liked veils. I don't like how they look or what they stand for. I've definitely seen some pretty ones, but I prefer no veil.

I feel you on this! I never intended to wear a veil. But then the more I saw those epic veil photos, and the more I thought about the fact that this would be my only chance to wear one… the more I started to change my mind. I already got a custom made headpiece, but I’m thinking about wearing a veil for the ceremony then the headpiece for the reception. I figure I’d rather look back and think that a veil was unnecessary or “extra”, than to look back and regret not wearing one.

I mean, you could always go and buy one and choose on the day?

It sounds like you might not want/need it, but better to have it and not want it than want it and not have it? You could always sell it whether you do/don't use it anyway?

I was going to skip the veil because I just thought it was an unnecessary extra. But when I was dress shopping my mom wanted me to just try it and see what it looked like and I actually loved it. I think if you can go to a store and try one or even order one and then send it back if you don’t like it, that it will put your mind at ease and you won’t be asking what if.

I wore one for some of our photos, but not for my ceremony. And I do not regret that decision. We had an outdoor wedding, and I think veils in outdoor ceremonies look ridiculous 90% of the time. They blow in front of your face. They tug on your hair when the wind blows. It’s just more of a hassle than it’s worth.

Nope. I wore a veil the first time I got married & couldn’t stand it. No regrets here.

I had a veil, but I only wore it for pictures and a portion of the night. I think I took it off right after dinner lol.
