Did anyone skip boutonnieres and corsages?

I am thinking of skipping boutonnieres and corsages to save money. We would be needing 12 boutonnieres and 5 corsages. For that price, I could get a garland I really wanted for the head table. Does anyone see an issue with anyone (grandparents) getting offended? Or think it will look bad for photos...

    My fiancé and I are skipping them as well. We are not having a traditional wedding at all. We would rather put the money into a great photographer!
