Time to confess! Are you innocent or guilty?

He told his 2, adult, children 2 days before he and I flew to Ireland- where he proposed. And once he did I posted the pictures on Facebook. He hadn't told other family. But I did call MY mom & son, his mom & my dad. Before I posted! Lol

Innocent! I told my family and close friends before posting. But apparently FH didn’t tell his mom, so she found out via Facebook. 😐😂🤷🏻‍♀️

FH had already discussed it with our families but, I still called my parents right away. We called FH's parents the next morning. I don't have social media and FH barely uses his. I'm actually not sure if he ever updated his or not and we've been engaged 13 months. Smiley smile

I made sure my family knew before I put it on blast on social media, but I did message a few friends throughout the day.

Hi Shayla! Aww super cute idea Smiley heart You could potentially still do that but find a "Does this Ring Make Me Look Married" mug for after the big day?

I called my mom, dad and stepmom, texted bffs and brothers. Then posted a few hours later.

No!! The told our parents and siblings when it happened, all close friends and the rest of the family the next day and then the internet. It was nice keeping it to ourselves and family for a bit, it gave us a chance to be excited before all the wedding questions started!

We called our family first. My sisters and his brother were at the engagement and came to dinner with us after. We called close friends too before we announced on social media.

Nope! We told our parents and grandparents first, then I posted a quick picture on my Instagram and I think FH posted quick on his Facebook or changed his status.
FH jumped the gun and proposed a day early because he couldn’t wait, and then was terrified to tell my parents because he didn’t ask for their blessing lol. So we wanted them to know first before we posted anywhere!

Yes, we did post there first. We were going to immediately call family and tell them but a medical emergency happened the day of the engagement and we forgot. Not the best decision on our part and we said sorry but his mom wouldn't accept the apology and used it as an excuse to ignore our engagement for 2.5 months.

My family knew about the engagement plans and conspired with him to make things perfect 😂😂. Some of my family was in attendance when it occurred. Others I texted and my cousin posted on FB. My FH and I didn’t post until about 6 months after lol

    Yep!
I tried to tell my mom in person, but she was too busy complaining about me to let me speak.
So she found out on Facebook.
I’m pretty sure FH told his parents before it happened though.

No. I called important people and waited a day or two to post publicly.

He had already told all of the family what his plans were, so they knew already. We just called them the night I said Yes just so they knew his plan worked. Smiley laugh It wasn't until 3 months later that we made it "facebook official". Not that it mattered, all of our family and friends knew anyway.

Both of our parents were at our proposal (total surprise, still love it!), but we made sure to tell all immediate/close family via phone call or in person that night before we posted it on social media a few hours later.

Hi SB! Great planning and that's so great that your parents were all there to witness the special moment at your proposal. Smiley heart Where & how did your fiancé propose?
