Did you help pick your ring?

First photo is engagement ring, second is with the wedding bands. FH designed my rings with the stones from the his grandmother's engagement ring. Over the years of being together, I would mention what I would like in a ring (princess cut, low profile so as not to catch on anything) and he create these beauties. It was a complete surprise when he gave me the ring.

He asked me if there was anything I didn't like. I described that for him, but he never asked what I liked.. I found out that my moh/best friend had sent him pics of rings I liked. So it was a complete surprise to me! I'm not going to lie I still look at my ring and fall even more in love.

My FH picked my ring. I didnt even know he was gonna propose but he did have help from my cousin because we would always send each other what we would want our rings to look like lol and I'm so in love with it, it's the perfect size and I love that its rose gold and i couldn't be any more happier with it 😍

I went to visit my parents for two weeks. He kept telling me how much he missed me when I was gone and that he couldn’t wait until I came back home. When I did the next day we went to the mall he dragged me into the jewelry store and said pick one, anyone. I did pick one and it was put on layaway and every time we go back to pay on it I look around and seen another. He ask you like that one? I said depends does it get out of layaway quicker? Lol So low and behold I picked this one. He ended up saying he like the second one better too due to how I am. I’m clumsy and bang my hands on things all the time and the morganite wouldn’t of held up or so he thinks. Soo...he couldn’t stand the two weeks without me and can’t fathom his life without me by his side. Though it wasn’t the official dang “will I marry me?” I’m still waiting on him to ask. He says he wants it special and where ever it is to be pretty. I’m so anxious I just want him to ask already lol.

I did not help Picking out my ring it was my birthday weekend when he proposed to me I had no clue or any idea that he was going to that.

I told him when it came time that my best friend, his sister, and his mom could help him out. I had a couple 5 stone rings I liked on a Pinterest board I shared with them. They helped him get the right one based on what I liked. His mom even gave him the two stones outside of the center from diamond studs his father gave her! It’s perfect.

FH began to ask me what type of ring I’d want if we were to get married. So we discussed it but it was waaaaaay before I think he was ready to propose. The week before he proposed he did take me in the store where he got my ring and asked which ring I’d pick. He then showed me rings he’d pick (which were outrageous-he was trying to throw me off since he had the ring already). I felt a proposal was coming but was pleasantly surprised when I saw my ring. He didn’t sooo much better than I ever wanted lol. Talking about the experience now he tells me that when we walked into the store he had signal to the people that I didn’t know about the engagement. So they had to act like they didn’t know him 😂😂

Oh forgot to post my ring....

FH and I went to look at rings last December, and I fell in love with this Neil Lane set. Unbeknownst to me, he went back and bought the ring in January, proposed in February. So I guess I technically did pick out the ring, but I had no clue he'd go back and get the exact one!

I had no idea he was ring shopping. I never hinted at what I like/dislike because he had told me early on that he was never getting married again lol. Of course I knew in my head what I like though. I had always wanted a vintage style ring with a solitaire. I knew I didn't want a football shaped stone and no yellow gold. He did perfect! I love that it has the 6 prong for the center stone. It's the Tiffany style and I love Tiffany! He said one day he wants to upgrade to a larger stone but I told him heck no. I love the size. It's 3/4 karats and I have super short fingers so anything bigger would be too big on my fingers IMO

I had no input on my ring. We had talked about getting engaged but I had no idea it was coming. We never talked about rings or looked at them together but he nailed it

I had no idea he was planning on proposing! We had talked about marriage but we knew we would wait until after he finished school so I thought maybe he would ask then (it was supposed to be this December but it'll be next May. He'll only be taking 2 more classes after this semester). Anyway, we had a conversation during a car ride and I was mentioning how I'd like an inexpensive ring off of Etsy or something. But like under $500 (I'm pretty frugal too) like even $100 ones because there are plenty of nice ones on there. We went on a trip to Spain with his family to see his extended family August 2017. We went to visit the church his grandparents were married (his gma passed away 10 years ago) and were talking through the courtyard area. He started saying all these really nice sweet things and I was confused haha eventually I caught on and realized he was proposing to me while his family had all kind of backed away. I said yes and cried like a baby and even asked "it goes on my left hand right?" He had bought the ring months ago and left it at his parents house. He has asked my sisters for advice on rings and my younger sister picked one I would NOT like. He ended up picking a different one that I love haha. Side note: he said he was trying not to piss me off the whole day leading up to it so he was being really distant and that actually annoyed me because I felt like he was ignoring me

Oh also here's a pic!! I'm on the computer so I just got it off of Etsy. It's simple so I love it, and the leaves! I'm kind of an outdoors person lol so it works for me

My FH and I went together! He wanted me to have something that I absolutely loved, so ultimately the decision was up to me! He bought me a “temp” ring when he proposed, and a few weeks later we went to Kay’s!

We designed it together. I am so glad he included me! What I thought I wanted and what looked good on me were 2 different things. I love my ring. It is more than I could have ever imagined!

Yes. My friends called me a control freak. But we both agreed that if I'm wearing a ring for 50 years I better like it!

I had no idea what I wanted. I never really looked at rings but he designed mine and it is perfect for me, I have never seen anything I love more. It’s so unique and I am proud that he knows me better than I know myself. He calls it my castle. I love seeing everyone’s beauty. Here is a photo of mine!

I told my FH I wanted an emerald cut but that was all I said, he took my best friend with him to look at rings. I had no idea he was going! They both hid it so well and it is better than I would of ever imagined!!
