Did you know he/she was going to propose?

I didn't know, but i knew (he gave out WAY too many clues). I had asked to go to Magic Kingdom on NYE for my Christmas present. He agreed and then proceeded to make plans for the day (he is a nonplanner, i do ALL of the planning). So after riding my favorite rides all day, we ate dinner inside Cinderella Castle with the princesses (with him freaking out because there was no where to "take a picture" without tables in the background, he hates pictures). So after eating we went downstairs and in front of Cinderella's Christmas tree he asked, in front of about 20 strangers that erupted in applause after. Even though I knew when it was going to happen, it was still great and perfect. He picked my ring out by himself too! We got to celebrate by watching the fireworks afterwards.
He tried so hard to keep brushing off getting married. Even as we were walking into dinner he said something about how we were never getting married.

I knew it was coming because we had talked about it and we both knew that we wanted to marry each other. He had also asked me about what type of ring I liked and he said he didn't want to do the traditional diamond ring and I told him I liked sapphires. Fast forward 6 months and we were in St. Thomas for my birthday and it was the first day we got there, we went out exploring and eating and drinking and just enjoying ourselves. We get back to the room that night and he asked if I wanted to sit out on the balcony and listen to the waves. I go out there and I'm laying in one of the lounge chairs and I closed my eyes listening to the sounds of the ocean. He goes inside and then he came back out and got on one knee next to me, I opened my eyes and he's holding a sapphire and diamond ring that he got custom made. He told me he had bought the sapphire when we were in Montana earlier in the year when we went snowboarding there. He had asked my dads permission and everything!

I honestly thought my husband was breaking up with me haha. He’s usually a very confident man who is always so sure of himself and he doesn’t get nervous. We were in Budapest on top of a tower overlooking the whole city and he was being so awkward and nervous that my mind instantly jumped to worst case scenario - we’ve had this booked for six months and he’s not sure he wants to be here. We got interrupted in the middle of his proposal so someone could stand over us to take a picture. I hadn’t heard him say anything so I was just quiet and he had said “will you marry me” and had a mini panic attack while we waited for her to move. But then he officially got to propose and my heart melted! He hid a bottle of champagne in our hotel fridge and took me out to a Michelin Star restaurant that night!

We went to look at rings to see what I liked and so he could take notes but I didn't expect him to go back and buy the ring I fell in love with. He still had the ring for 6 months before proposing. I knew it was coming but didn't think it would happen until the end of the year so I was definitely caught off guard.

He set up an anniversary photoshoot at the place where he asked me to be his girlfriend so, yes, I definitely knew. He tried to throw me off and said that the ring wouldn't be in for a few more weeks and I almost believed him. In the end, I was still very surprised and excited. I tend to react very calmly to things so I was worried I wouldn't react "big" enough for photos but they turned out beautifully

He sat me down and said he had something very important to talk about. I thought he was going to break up with me!!! I was stunned when he started to propose. We had never talk about marriage so yeah......projectile tears for many minutes!

I said yes, obviously.

Turns out he had been thinking about it and discussing with it with his parents for six months! Geez....that family can keep it zipped!!! LOL!

We had been talking for little while then he was saying that going to Vegas would be great place to get married. I said yes it would be great and grear way to spend less. Then nothing for a while. Then on February 12 he said I love you would you marry me but I have no ring. I said yes and said that is ok we can pick it out together. I am waiting for my ring to come back from being sized and he told me he wants to ask me again when we get the ring back. I was surprised he asked and excited at same time.

I had my suspicions that a ring had been purchased but I wasn’t totally sure. I also thought that my FW might propose on our vacation we took at the beginning of the year. My FW actually surprised me at home after a date night where we made dinner together, watched movies, and decorated our Christmas tree. It was perfect and low key and intimate. Apparently she was planning on vacation like I thought but once she had the ring she couldn’t wait another 3 months lol

We had gone ring shopping a few times and I finally narrowed it down to two rings. He had the final say in which ring he would pick as well as the diamond. I knew it was going to happen soon but I had no idea when until the day of just because he was acting all nervous and was on his phone a lot (texting family and friends to make sure everyone had arrived and the set up was done!) even though I had a feeling and kind of knew it would happen, I still bawled when he asked me to marry him

We had talked about it first ( which I feel is more common nowadays) and I picked my ring out but he didn't propose until about 5 months later. I didn't know when he got the ring but a few days before he proposed I kind of knew it was about to come!

I knew but didn't know when it would be. We'd had very long talks about marriage, children, finances and our future in the year leading up to our engagement (we've been together 5 1/2 years) and he told me when he bought my ring. He proposed a little less than a month after he bought it.

There had been a blizzard the day before, so we were both working from home that day. The sun was out and the sky was perfectly blue, so it was actually really beautiful outside. He asked if I wanted to go out on the deck since it was so pretty out, and we went out there and stood together for a while before he gave me his little speech and asked! I found out afterwards that he had talked to my father and brother beforehand and wanted them to know he was going to ask me. He'd been planning on waiting until we were on vacation a few months later, but ended up not being able to wait that long. I'm glad he didn't wait!

It took FH 2 years to ask me after he had me pick out a ring. I started to think it was never going to happen and the ring shopping had been some cruel joke. Once he bought the ring, I knew right away. He started acting strange and wanted to take a quick trip to St. Augustine (we live 3 hours away but it's our happy place) which is very unlike him, and he asked me where my favorite place was up there and which place was most special. Also, right before he asked, our neighbor took his FW up there and proposed and my FH lost his mind. He was so upset his idea had been stolen. Not the neighbor's fault you waited so long! lol

I knew everything, he pretty much made me plan it, but the fact that he upgraded the ring for making me wait.

I totally knew, and honestly had a panic moment and tried to stop it lol. We were in Vegas on NYE at the Stratosphere observation desk and it had started to rain so everyone was inside and he pulled me outside and I legit couldn't breathe (even though I'd been sending hints FOREVER and really wanted it to happen) and planted myself inside until he forced me out. Of course I was ecstatic when it happened and said yes faster than he could ask. He said it made him feel a little better that I panicked, too. We've been together for 6 years and I had no doubt in my mind, it was just so surreal!

Not a clue...we have known each other for well over 20 years but just started dating 5 years ago. We are both in our early 40's and came from previous super long relationships. He was Mr. I am never getting married and I was Ms. I am never getting married again. One random Wednesday night (actually last year Feb. 22nd ) we went to our favorite beer and taco place and then on the way home we took a drive, which we do a lot, and we drove past our favorite winery. He acted like he thought it was open to go in for a drink, we live in NJ nothing is open at night during the winter. He proposed right outside the winery gates along side a truck that I always say when we go there that I love. It was very sweet, super surprised, and I could not be happier. He is the one thing I never knew I needed/wanted.

Well, my H had no idea. I asked him how he felt about getting married in 2 years. He thought it was a great idea. We started planning, booking vendors, informed our families our plans for marriage. I told my H not to do a proposal because I thought it would be silly since we were already planning. He didn't listen 🙄 😊A few months later for my birthday he drove me to my hometown and surprised me with a gondola ride, and had a message in a bottle for me with my ring. I still cried even though we had been engaged and planning for 3.5 months 😂

I had kind of hoped, but I didn't know. It was our 3 year anniversary when he proposed.

I knew that he would want to do it, but if he didn't do it by February this year, I was going to start planning to propose to him! Looking back on it, there were some signs in his behavior that pointed to his plans, but no one knew except his parents!

I knew because the Valentine's Day before he took me to pick out my ring but he had to order it (I have very small fingers lol) so I knew it wouldn't be then. He told me it would be before we went on our annual AC trip with our group of friends which was about a month and a half after Valentine's Day. He ended up doing it 3 days after our 3 year anniversary; he recreated Aiden's proposal to Carrie with our new puppy there and everything

I had no idea! We had been together 5 years and had talked about it in passing but nothing serious. He picked out my ring in secret and waited 2 months after he had it to ask me!!! He took me to a nice restaurant where we parked down the road and walked through a little park. It was in the beginning of December so all of the trees had Christmas lights and it was gorgeous. Around the middle of the park he slowed down and I thought he was texting because he was playing with his phone. Turns out he was starting a song to play in the background and when I heard it I turned around confused and he was on one knee. It was so sweet and I was completely surprised!! Then we walked the rest of the way to the restaurant and had a great dinner! I cried so we took pics on the way back. 😊😊

He doesn’t want to admit it, but FH his horrible at keeping secrets or surprises.
He had given me the ring for safekeeping since he was in school, and he took it when he came home for Christmas. So I knew it was coming.
We had a picnic in the park (it’s Florida so it was like 80) and we danced on the bridge over the lake. He was so nervous like I would say no or something. I didn’t even let him finish his sentence before I said yes 😂

So I had a job interview last November and it happened to be our 10th anniversary. After the job interview, we went to an art museum and before we went to to dinner, he proposed to me outside of the museum. He asked if I would ever get sick of him. I told him I would never get sick of him and I love him a lot. He then asked if I wanted to have dinner with a fiancé and then he got down on one knee.
