Did you let your fh see you after getting your hair trial done?

Erin , on May 20, 2019 at 1:18 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 14
I kind of want to hide it from him and not let him see so he has absolutely no Idea how I will look on the actual day, but I see a lot of other posts about letting him see it and wearing it for a whole day to see how it holds up and what-not. What are your thoughts? Plans? Advice?

Following because I'm in the same boat. Part of me wants to hide it from him but part of me doesn't want to let the hair and makeup go to waste and have a nice date night or do the trial when we have a family wedding to go to this summer so i can really see how it would hold up with all that dancing.

I debated on whether or not I wanted him to see my hair & make up trials, but in the end I just got too excited and let him see, lol.

My hair trail is happen in our apartment.... so there’s no way to avoid it. All the same I really value his opinion, especially on the makeup.

I didn’t hide it from him. I figured it’ll look so much better with my veil, jewelry, and dress that it’s not really ruining anything.

I debated on this too, but we're traveling for my hair and makeup appointment since the salon is close to our venue (about 10 minutes from FH's hometown). We'll be staying with his parents that weekend, and I didn't really see a way for him not to see it, and I don't want to waste it so we'll probably go on a date night or something afterwards.

My fiance saw the trial. It was at our house, so he was already there. He thought I looked pretty, but doesn't notice hair/makeup enough to remember. I'll look so different when I'm in my dress with my veil and jewelry, nails done, shoes on, etc. that it won't be the same.

I scheduled mine for when he'd be out of town, so I could wear it all day, take it down, brush it out, and see everything I wanted to see about it without him seeing it at all. I'm trying to keep as much of my look a surprise as possible, given that we live together.

Yeah, I did. He laughed. That was a good indication that my trial was a dud. As if, I couldn't see that myself lol.

I did mine on a night when he had plans to go to a concert with a friend. He saw it when he got home that night, and I could see how it held up. I have jewelry going in my hair, so I had the stylist remove that portion. So there will still be a surprise element to it. Idk about your FH, but there’s no way mine will remember the details of my style. He’ll be like, “wasn’t it kind of wavy in some areas or something?”😂

My dress is the only thing I'm keeping secret. He knows I'm not wearing a veil, he helped me pick out my shoes, and he has seen all hair/makeup trials. I dont think it will make the moment any less special. He's been my friend since high school, so he's seen me with my hair done up and makeup on for prom, but I think it's the white dress that really makes the difference.

I had my hair/makeup trial the day of a friend's bachelorette party/bridal shower (shower by day, party by night.) So there were a ton of photos taken and posted to facebook & instagram lol. I really didn't care if he saw it - it was hair & makeup. I do my hair & makeup on occasion, so really it was no big thing. I didn't clip in the veil at the trial, and I didn't have the dress on, so it was no big deal for me!

We did engagement photos after my hair and makeup trial. So glad I did! I was able to make tweaks the day of and show my MUA the photos and she understood exactly what I wanted. Hubby didn’t even hardly remember what it all looked like and me in a burgundy sweater and jeans was still dramatically different than me in a wedding dress.
