Was it love at first click for you and your FS? Who messaged who first? Was it a smooth pick-up line or a sweet profile picture that led you to want to meet in person? I want to hear your story! My fiancé & I found each other on Instagram while attending the same college. After a few “likes” back & fourth, his first words to me were in a comment “marry me?😬”. I told him if he liked it, he should put a ring on it... & then sent me 💍. Fast forward 5 years and we are engaged to be married.

That line "I met my happy." I might steal that for my wedding vows. Your story is so sweet.

After trying a few different online dating sites, an aquaintance messaged me saying they had a friend who I might be interested in. I was sent a pic of FH as well as a few basic stats. I was immediately interested upon seeing his pic and hearing we lived near each other. I didn't get a chance to reply until the next day, telling my aquaintance I was interested. As my FH and the aquaintance met through a local FB group, I was sent a link to his profile. We started chatting via messenger in Jan 2017 and messaged every day after that. We met about 3 weeks later for dinner which lasted almost 2 hours. We saw each other every week after that while continuing to talk every day. He asked me to officially be his girlfriend a little over a month later. We got engaged on our 1 yr anniversary and will be married 1 day before our 2 year anniversary.

We met on OkCupid in May 2012! ☺️ I had tried online dating for a few months when I was in college and it had been a total bust. I was home with my parents for the summer and I was about to disable my account when FH messaged me. He stood out because he was so polite in his message and his pictures were too cute to pass up. He also mentioned in his profile that he was a cat lover and that was the cherry on top for me! We messaged each other for 3 days, exchanged numbers, went on our first date a week later and the rest is history. 💕

I met my fh on tinder. And I can honestly say that I had no idea that 4 years later I would be marrying my best friend. We had our first date at a Moe's lol I didn't think that I was in the stage of my life where I was looking for a relationship since I just gotten out of a series of very toxic ones. Austin changed my life. He's shown me what actual love looks like and I thank the powers that be for tinder lol

We met on Tinder, but we realized we had been Facebook friends for 9 years! We never met in person until we set up the first date, though. I knew very early on he was ‘’it’’ for me. I thank God every day for him.

    Yes, we met on OKCupid.

I had been "dating" for several months and went on many dates to no avail and I was ready to give up when I came across his profile. Let me preface this by saying that even though I am not from a small town, it was seemingly rare to find someone who was anywhere near me. Most of the guys I went out with lived in or near Pittsburgh and I'm a good 25 miles south east of that. It just so happens that this guy, aka, my FH, was from the same city as me and he was attractive! (Obviously).

I actually messaged him first, but I learned later on that he had already looked at my profile and thought I was "out of his league" - how cute! So he was afraid I wouldn't respond if he had messaged me. I think the very first thing I said to him was, "Do you work in law enforcement?" His profile picture was him in a uniform that looked similar to a police uniform, which immediately intrigued me because I worked in loss prevention for many years. It turns out he worked security for a local airport, which was even more similar to my previous job.

Once we exchanged phone numbers and started texting, we hit it off immediately. From the start, he stood out from all the other guys, he was a gentleman... he was different. I could tell that he was old-fashioned, like myself, and wanted to take his time in getting to know me. I felt intuitively connected to him. He was like a breath of fresh air and I felt like I could let my guard down and be myself around him.

After we were "official", he confessed to me that he had answered all 300-some questioned I completed on OKC, just to see how we matched. Surprise, it was a 99% match! We would later joke about one question in particular, because we can't believe we chose the same option: "How important is it to you that your significant other smells good?" - " EXTREMELY important!"

Before we met, we added each other on Facebook. To my surprise, I found out that I knew his older brother - I gradated with him! It was cool and weird at the same time because I never know his brother had a younger brother, you know? We're only two years apart, so we would have gone to high school at the same time.

The first time we met was at a recreational field nearby my house. I was admittedly nervous because I really liked him, so I sat in the car like a creeper for a minute. I texted him that I was there and I could hear him say to his friend all frantically, "She's here!!!" It was SO freaking cute. It made me feel so good inside and helped calm my nerves a little bit because I knew he was nervous, too. He had been playing football with his best friend, so he was a hot sweaty mess, but I didn't mind. We proceeded to talk for hours and hours and hours until it was dark out. His friend was acting like the wing-man he didn't need, and told me every gross, disgusting thing they've ever done. My FH later told me that he specifically asked his best friend NOT to do that, and he was pretty mad at him for not respecting that. Regardless, it didn't bother me. I know how guys act - I worked with all men. I think his friend was trying to guage my intentions, which is perfectly fine, but it's something we laugh about now.

LOL....I hate admitting it, but yep, we met on the most embarrassing dating site EVER: Plenty Of Fish. (POF) I had gotten out of an abusive marriage and was ready to try dating again. I dont have any friends here, so I never go out. I figured I would give online dating a second shot. (tried once prior many years ago....it was awful) Sooooooo, I made my profile. The VERY first message I received was from a man with the most amazing smile I had ever seen. (Im a sucker for a great smile) He also bothered to write a legit thoughtful message, not just "hey whats up?" like most guys who messaged me did. He was intelligent, articulate, good looking and didnt mind that I came with four young kids. We chatted online for a bit, then I gave him my cell number. We texted, then decided to speak over the phone. We ended up talking until about 3 AM! He invited me and my kids to a BBQ he was attending at one of his friends homes later the next afternoon. I accepted, thinking a social get together was a great way to break the ice. Literally the moment I saw him, I thought "well, I will never hear from HIM again!' He was just soooooo far out of my league!! We spent the rest of the day (and night) talking and laughing. His group of friends were incredibly kind, welcoming, funny, and just felt like all around good people. (hey, a persons friends say alot about someone!) My kids were immediately crazy about him too. That was August 20th, 2016. I deleted my POF account 3 days later...he did the same. We have been inseparable ever since and are getting married in 21 days!!

I met my fiancé online through Match. He messaged me first with a simple “Hi. How are you?” Our conversations flowed so naturally and our first date was soooo amazing! This is probably not common but we hung out for 8 hours on the first date lol. The day went by way too fast. That was 4 years ago in July (we got engaged on our 4 year anniversary). ☺️☺️☺️

Welp I were in the same Facebook group for motorcycle riders and he found me and messaged me. We exchanged numbers and talked on the phone before actually meeting for a ride. It wasn’t love at first sight but I did know after like a month that I loved him and he would be the man I was going to marry ❤️💕
