I didn't, and I'll be blunt. I'm very skeptical of many of the brides who say they did. I've have yet to see a regular (I mean more that 1 day of posting) forum poster come on here and say they used them and leave any review. Usually, the 'brides' that are raving about them have little to no profile information, rarely a profile picture, and have not commented on any other thread- now, they are singing praises?

I'm not saying they are horrible- because I have no experience with them. However, I don't trust them and will never even consider placing an order with them.

Im not sure if I should or not, But i know i cant afford the dress I wont buying from the designer, and Ive looked for it used and they aren't any cheaper than buying it new...Ive been chatting with the seller, but still a little worried. I can pay through pay-pal and they have a 99.5% feedback rating and a Guaranteed Refund for any reason, so if it don't fit or the beading isn't good they will return it and fix it OR refund All my money....But still not 100% sold on the Idea

The shipping costs will kill you! I hate to say it, but you need to consider a cheaper dress elsewhere. Most chinese sellers have horrible beadwork and their refund policy is a not as simple as it seems.

And who set the feedback? If it's on their own site, it's crap. They can delete negative reviews. Many of the chinese sellers spend more on marketing and know how to work the system to have great feedback instead of focusing on quality.

You can do what you want, but I wouldn't risk it.

Well it had neg. and neutral feedback along with good feedback, similar to ebays feedback system...and Shipping is free. I even asked if it would be a situation where the dress gets delivered and then they ask me to pay shipping costs at the time of pick up or somthing and they say that wont happen.

And Im not sure where i can even find a decent dress for $150...My whole wedding budget is $2,000, So im kind of in a tuff spot

    Thanks Meghan for commenting

Check craigslist and resale shops for discounted bridal gowns. You may be able to find one in your price list. I think Anita (?) bought a gown from China...maybe she can adivise you on how it turned out.

I have purchased 2 gowns from chinese wholesellers. The first one I have already received, I ordered it from 09Cheng off of ebay and it is a very beautiful and quality dress. I just found one I liked better. I havent' receive my gown from Lightinthebox yet but I did get my MoH dress from there and again the quality was wonderful and the dress is amazing.

This is the first dress I received. Keep in mind I do not have my hoop on underneath it so it is not full like it is supposed to be. But the beading on the dress is secure and I didn't have any issues with the dress other than I found one I liked even better.

I have used Lightinthebox as well. The first time, I got the dress and it was pretty. It wasn't hgih quality, but it was very pretty and well made. The material was a lower quality.

The second dress I ordered from them- well, I'll let you know. I ordered it a year and half ago and still haven't recieved it. And since they are out of the country, they are not obligated to follow US laws- I am not entitled to a refund and have no legal recourse.

I won't use a chinese wholesaler again. eBay is different. A seller on eBay has to agree to certain terms and conditions. They are legally bound, and their feedback rating depends on working with customers. A site you purchase form directly does not have those obligations.

With DHGate.com they say they hold my payment till I receive the dress and once I approve the product THEN the money will be released to the seller. If I dont like or there is a problem, i get my money released back to me when the seller receives the dress...Or something along those lines

I ordered my gown from DHGate but have not received it yet. I just ordered about 1.5-2 weeks ago so I expect it will be another 2 weeks or so before I receive it. I paid $150 and that included shipping costs.

Brit, we have the same budget. I got my dresses at second stores. Don't go to goodwill or big "retailers" of second hand stores. Shop around for little local stores. My ceremony dress I got in my current city and paid $20.00 for it and the reception dress I got in a thrift store in Moab, UT. Whenever you go somewhere just pop into local thrift stores and you will find what you are looking for. What kind of dress are you lookng for? I have a 3rd dress that I dont want. If it is your style or will fit you, I will "sell" it to you for the cost of shipping.

Check recycledbride.com, woreitonce.com and there is one more I am forgetting. They sell used, sample and new w/ tags dresses for less.

My friend ordered a dress from a chinese website (www.milanoo.com) and it was going to be too late for her wedding. She cancelled the order but they will not refund her money. I would NOT trust them.

I went off the size chart which was risky because I am 6'3. But I measured myself and went by the chart and then ordered a size bigger. If you can I would go to a shop and be measured or order 1-2 sizes bigger. they run a little small and you can have it altered.
