Did you pick your ring or were you completely surprised?

That’s stunning. we ring shopped and so I chose my own ring which I’m happy about because I wanted a specific style

I was completely surprised! My FH had mine custom made and he did absolutely perfect! It was the exact style of ring I wanted and I had never told him what types of rings I liked.

Mine was my great grandmother’s, but I knew my grandma had given it to him, so the ring wasn’t a surprise.

That's a beautiful ring. I didn't pick it out, I was completely surprised. We talked very vaguely about getting married one day, and then on our 2 year anniversary he popped the question. He gave me his grandmothers ring.

Completely surprised! Really the only thing he asked me about was what color metal, and I told him silver colored. I offered to make a Pinterest board for inspiration but he declined and said he wanted to pick. So I let him! Never ever dreamed i would end up with a colored stone! I never liked the idea of one growing up, I was worried about matching it to things. My first thought when I saw the ring was "oh it's colored, I hope I like it!' But I LOVE my blue diamond ring 😍

Your ring is gorgeous! This is mine. I helped pick mine out but my FH didnt know what I would like. The proposal itself didnt happen until about 2 months after I helped pick out the ring.

FH picked mine out with my mom and I was totally surprised! I am super picky tho and do not like bulky rings, so I definitely told FH the shape of the ring I want (oval or pear) and that I want a super thin band, and showed him pictures as a subtle hint😂 They didn’t have a band thin enough at the store so it had to be customized. All in all I love it!!
