Did you post about your proposal on social media before telling your family?

It's hard to contain that proposal excitement!! Once you're engaged you want to share that news with the world right away! Did you make sure your family members were the first to hear the news before taking to facebook, instagram, or twitter? Or did you post your #justsaidyes moment right away and then start ringing your fam??

Did you break the news first on social?? Time to confess if you're innocent or guilty!

Innocent! We told all of our family and our closest friends before posting anything on social media

I am innocent of this one... I didn't post on social media about our proposal until about 2 weeks after it happened! I wanted to have time to tell my family and close friends.

We enjoyed the night together and then told our families when we got home. We made a post on facebook the next day so we didn't have people spamming our phones the night of. Best decision ever!!

We tried our hardest to reach out to as much family as possible, before posting.

After we got through to his aunt/godmother, though, we posted. There is a certain point where you can't make any more phone calls.

Innocent! We didn't post anything on social media for a few days (we aren't huge on social media anyway). Our immediate family members were there when it happened but we waited until we told those who were not there before posting anything of social media - we had a lot of FaceTime calls those few days until everyone knew, lol.

No, I told my mom and my closest friends first, aside from the ones who were there for the proposal, and we put it on social media a few days later.

I asked her mom and grandfather before I did it so they knew it. But my parents had no idea which was what I was going for. She kinda knew but not when i was or how i was.

Oh no I took him to my parent's and he told them to their face and then I called my close family personally before posting it. He practically posted everything as it was happening before I asked him not to.

I waited to make sure that my close family and friends knew before posting anything online. But even that I put off for a few days to just enjoy us being the only ones to know.

Well, I told my mom and sisters in advance, and we had an engagement party for his family where we re-did the proposal as if it was the first time. Then I posted immediately during the party. 😅

Nope. My mom, sister, and best friend all knew before. And my fiance's mother and stepfather knew before.

No! We called all our important family first, then I texted my closest friends/going-to-be bridesmaids, THEN posted it on social media the next day. We wanted to live in the moment for a while right after the engagement and didn’t want to deal with social media.
