Did you say anything other than "YES" after he proposed?

I DID! The first words out of my mouth were "Did you ask my Dad?" haha I said "Yes" after he told me we had my father's blessing. I'm a bit old school I guess!

I don't remember what I said, just that I was smiling and crying a little.

I said Yes, AND at the same time I had my other hand over my eyes because i couldnt believe it was really happening. this was the real thing, and once i opened them i knew I was officially engaged to the love of my life. It was so surreal! Smiley smile Very special moment for the both of us<3

I said yes, but I was planning on saying no...

Back story. We picked out the ring together a few weeks before we got engaged. Even though I picked the ring, he still had to surprise me with the proposal. So, he told me that he should keep taking me places to trick me into thinking that it was proposal time. Like take me out to a fancy dinner, take me to the beach, etc. So I decided that I was going to say "no" when he proposed.

When he did propose, I was so excited that I totally forgot to say no and said yes instead. Smiley sad Oh, and he didn't take me a million different places. He proposed to me basically the first time we went out after he picked up the ring. Smiley tongue

I'm not sure. I know during the proposal my jaw hit the ground. I put my hands over my mouth and turned away, like completely around. WTF?

Glad that's not recorded for the ages. lol

I said no... but it was because he was being weird all day and I was distracted on the computer not paying attention. He walked in the room and was like, wanna marry me? And, I didn't pay attention, then once I realized what he said I turned around and was like, " wait! Yes! Can I change my answer?" and started laughing.

When he got down on his knee people around us kept whacking their friends and pointing shouting "he's proposing!" and I couldn't take it so when he opened the box I grabbed the ring and put it on my own finger.

I'd say that was close enough to a yes.

Haha @Nicole C. that happened to me too. People walking by were like "omg that guy's proposing". I didn't actually say "yes" right away, I kind of starting crying and finally he was like..."uhh, well...?"

I actually said "no." not because i didnt want to marry him but because what what going through my head was "no this should not be happening right now, we were just looking at rings last night" but all that came out of my mouth was the "no" part. That sneaky guy, he had the ring for two weeks and then tried to throw me off by looking at rings the night before he was going to propose. He laughed a little and said "let me finish." after i let him finish asking I said yes.

It's a blur...I had to ask FH what I said because I was a sobbing hysterical mess..

He said I eventually said Yes after an excessive amount of "OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG, crying, more OMG OMG OMG, more crying".

Yes I am a big sap.

He proposed the first time we was looking through his Mom's jewelry box he made me look at all the necklaces and earrings then he got to his Mom's rings ( his Mom has pasted away before I got to meet her) she had a beautiful blue stone setting can't for the life of me think what the stone is now it's 5-6 carats set in rose gold and it came from Russia he then ask me to marry him, I said "are you sure?" I was scared about wearing his Mom's ring that was March 2011 then spin forward to September 1, 2012 he came in to where I was and ask once again will you marry me and let's set a date, of course I said yes once again and then my head was spinning with what date we should pick, he suggested the weekend between Mother's day and memorial day, what would of been my Mom's birthday was between those but didn't know if it was on a Saturday and sure enough it was on a Saturday, so we are getting married on my mom's b-day, when he got the e-ring he got down on one knee and ask me once again,

He was in the kitchen ....I was in the living room and we had the gate up between the two rooms for the dogs. I walked into the doorway, with the gate in the way, and saw him on his knee! My first words were "Are you serious right now!!!!!!" And then I kept saying...."is this really happening?" But I remember when I first saw him on his knee...and my first thoughts were OMG I can't get this gate out of my way fast enough!
