Did you start wedding planning before the proposal?

It's time for your first confession!! Whether it was looking at wedding dresses online, saving your favorite wedding trends on pinterest, or slowly starting some initial venue research... did you start any wedding planning before the official proposal?? Are you innocent or guilty of planning before...

Innocent kinda.. I had the apps bc I was curious about how much work it was and I wanted an idea and I bought a planning book that I flipped through.. and tried on wedding dresses at David’s bridal but I wasn’t seriously looking I went bc it was an opening event and I just wanted to look around but they talked me into trying on. Ok... maybe I’m guilty... I didn’t look at venues or do any serious planning but hey we had been in a relationship for 10 years and I knew he had the ring

Aside from having a "happily ever after" Pinterest board in middle school, no wedding planning took place until after we got engaged Smiley xd

Guilty. I had a Pinterest board with ideas a few years before we got engaged.
While planning, I ended up removing a lot of the stuff I’d posted on my board - It’s funny how much my taste changed over a few years.

Guilty. I had a Pinterest board. Doesn’t every girl? But that was it. No actually research until the proposal.

Yes, I'm guilty. We had talked about getting married so I had begun browsing Pinterest with ideas before the proposal.

I started planning before we were engaged only because my fiancé and I had talked about it so much beforehand that I knew it was going to happen (just not when lol). We started saving ideas on Pinterest. I actually started a wedding planning binder so it would take a lot of stress off of planning once we were engaged. I saved a lot of budgeting and timeline guides.

I started planning about 3 hours after the proposal. But before the proposal, a ring was all I would talk about! I'm sure I annoyed the hell out of my fiancee.

Oh i definitely started wedding planning before the proposal! I had several secret Pinterest boards and tons of ideas in my head. I knew he was the one for me, so why not plan early?!

I had a secret board (So much family and friends on Pinterest wouldn’t think I was engaged) I would save stuff too, but my fiancé and I both would spend a Saturday here and there drinking wine and planning our future wedding like 1-2 years before he actually proposed. We always knew it would happen, but we’re just waiting until we were both in a better place financially and career wise before making it official. Once he did, I took out our notebook with ideas and things we had looked up and went from there haha

I was already signed up for Kleinfeld sales emails - so I knew, before DH proposed, that there was a sample sale coming up.

I may or may not have said that I didn't want to miss it, but I didn't want to go unless we were engaged. (Turned out, he was anxiously awaiting the delivery of the ring...)

We had already agreed on our top choice for DJ (she had DJ'd our friends' wedding), and I had inadvertently found our invitations *years* ago on Etsy (searching for a gift for DH... cufflinks... so wedding invites popped up in the algorithm...)

Kind of guilty. I've had a Pinterest board of what styles I like for weddings since before I met my FH. I didn't start working on it again until right before he proposed to me actually.

Yes! We were on the same page about marriage and, engagement so I went ahead and, found a photographer I'd love to work with for our engagement and, wedding. He knew I had a Pinterest board and, we created a WW and TheKnot accounts to get an idea of what we wanted, how much it would cost etc.

We knew we wanted to be together so even if things are hard to discuss we tend to not avoid subjects that way we are both communicating clearly.

He still designed a custom ring and, surprised me by popping the question all without me knowing!

I had general ideas of colors and themes but overall no, I didn't start planning until after the engagement and I wish now that I did lol.
