Did you try on a dress you know you can't afford?

We all know we’re “not supposed to”, but during your hunt for the perfect dress - did you ever try on a dress that you knew was way out of your price range? Are you innocent or guilty ? Next Question: Have you lied about your venue's capacity to justify not inviting someone?

That's awesome that you found it 3 dresses in and within your budget! What kind of style is it?

It’s very simple. It’s a strapless A-line dress with detailing on the bust and on the train. I’m adding lace capped sleeves. I’m in love with it

Well sorta kinda. Tried on dresses above my budget. We could afford whatever but I set a budget. My dress ended up being 3x the budget I set. I would not have done it but FH insisted that I have my dream dress.

No. I wasn't going to find myself loving a dress that wasn't in budget.

My dress ending up being $100 over budget, but that was easy to come up with.

No. I stuck to my budget and didn't even look at dresses outside of it. I spent $290 below my budget.

Not really, I tried on some that were above my original, but my sister was paying and she had a higher budget Smiley smile

So.... I ended up buying a dress that was over what I wanted to spend. I knew my dad was going to pay for the dress, but I still struggled about whether or not I wanted to ask him to pay that much. When I talked to him, he said that I never asked for much (and I'm an only child, so it's not like they'd have a change to throw another wedding), so he wanted me to have the dress I felt beautiful in.

I haven't tried dresses yet. My budget is around $1k, if I find a dress for less that would be awesome. I do plan on trying a dress way outta budget just to see how it looks. It's like test driving a car you never plan on buying. No harm in that.

I did, but luckily for me (I’m paying for my own wedding dress) it wasn’t the one!

Innocent. I did a lot of research before I even went dress shopping. I knew my budget and managed to stay within it

Not that I am aware of? My bridal consultant was amazing and she knew exactly what I was looking for. My dress ended up being a trunk show dress as well, so I came in under budget on the dress! The veil, headpiece and belt on the other hand... yeah I spent at least double what I planned on spending on those....

Me and high heels don't get along. I'm getting married on the beach, so flip flops it is! I hate shoes!

Guilty! And I ended up buying the one and only dress I tried on outside of my budget! I love it though 😀 Budget was $1,000 and with taxes my dress was $1,700.

Yeah! He's been so sweet and supportive through the whole process. I have an Alfred Angelo A-line dress.
