Did you try on a dress you know you can't afford?

We all know we’re “not supposed to”, but during your hunt for the perfect dress - did you ever try on a dress that you knew was way out of your price range? Are you innocent or guilty ? Next Question: Have you lied about your venue's capacity to justify not inviting someone?

Nope in fact I told the shop I wanted to stay under $500 even though I could have gone to $1000. I ended up falling in love with one for $399 and it was perfect!

I went to BHLDN with two dresses in mind: one at the perfect price point, and twice as expensive, but do-able. I ended up HATING the expensive one and loving the cheaper one. Glad that worked out!

Guilty!! I loved it too!! I almost cried, because it was THE DRESS! I bought a different dress that I could afford. Then I saw one on line that I fell in love with. Then saw another I loved and bought it too. My final decision came this week. The long sleeved dress I ordered, (the second one, which looked a lot like the one I couldn't afford) is THE DRESS!!
Funny thing is, after all the purchases, I could have bought the first dress, BUT I couldn't have afforded the alterations.
So finally I am happy and have my dream dress that I've envisioned all my life!!

Yes and I bought it!! I was hesitant to pay that much for a dress I'd wear once, but in the end I am happy with it. Although I am not looking forward to the alteration costs.

Yes my youngest tried on a dress that was 3 times her budget. She fell in love so I bought it for her.

Guilty. However, I definitely didn't like it as much as I love the dress I ended up buying that was in my budget.

I haven’t started dress shopping yet but I wouldn’t be shocked if I end up doing that

I tried on only one dress that was several hundred out of budget just because my bridesmaids wanted to see it on me but it ended up being my least favorite of all the dresses I tried on!

I drove an hour to try on a $7000 dress thinking it was my dream dress, but i actually didn't love it. The next time we went shopping she said "everything in the store is around $1000-$2000 and the first dress i pulled was one of the 3 $3000 dresses they had -facepalm- I guess you could say i have expensive taste!

But the dress i bought?? drum roll please........ $400 at Davids Bridal!!! You can't beat a deal like that!

    left: my dress ($400)

    Right: Kelly Faetanini Willow ($7000)

Absolutely. Then again, my budget was so low that even the used samples were over my limit. Smiley sad Good thing I found a used dress on... EBAY. (Still the alterations are pricey...)

Innocent!! I knew that if I tried on one and it was perfect I would do anything to get the dress so I fought temptation and found a dress that I love in my price range.
