Breakfast- eat a high fiber cereal.. if you dont have time for a sit down meal get a yogurt and put cereal into it. Its real good, and you can eat it on the go. Or you can get some breakfast bars/fruit/ an egg if you have time. Eat something for breakfast though.

lunch- totally understand not wanting to bring a meal and trying to do lunch cheap. Mcdonalds yogurt things are a dollar but i believe they arent much better than a fry calorie wise but at least you are getting something other than fat to eat. Honestly if thats all you are eating for lunch though you should be snacking more through the day on healthy stuff. Theres a balance of getting enough calories to function and low enough to lose weight. Dinner seems a bit heavy- and wheres the veggies?!? Dont get me wrong- eat that stuff and enjoy it but make sure its one portion. Most americans portion sizes are OVERSIZED

if you have a craving for fatty foods try eating an avocado/peanut butter. Dont drive yourself nuts not having the

Ya. diet pills don't really work. really you just need to be eating healthy and working out. I understand you may not want to go do a full workout after work- but even a 30 min walk around the block would help.

Don't get me wrong- FH and i love McD's, but it's one of those things that needs to be once every couple weeks, not once a day. even if it is just a McDouble- there isn't much healthy in there, so you are pretty much eating empty, fattening calories. The week we were moving into our new place we ended up having McD's pretty much every day, and most days we would also have carls jr for breakfast, and we got so sluggish and nasty feeling just because of all the fat and gross we where putting in our bodies without much good stuff.

Moral of the story, you just need to eat healthier. it will give you energy and you will loose weight. there is no such thing as a take a pill and get skinny diet.

Things you love but just make sure you are reasonable about how much you have and how often.

Tea is a good sub for soda. Green tea is actually suppose to help you lose weight- i believe it just flushes out your system- aka water you are retaining.

weight watchers makes tasty meals- they have the appropriate portions and are pretty healthy. Not sure if walmart sells them- and they are usually over a dollar but i had huge success when i was using those for my lunch everyday.

What no yogurt! crazy. Their salads are ok but expensive in my mind and the cheese/crutons/dressing adds a lot of calories.

    Why wont he eat veggies?

Dont throw them away- save them as leftovers for the next night.

Is it a kind from the bottle? be careful with that- they can have just as many calories as soda.

Once i educated myself to check labels and compare with what i was previously eating it was easy to make a change. Im still changing but in the end it will be for the better. I wont be a rollarcoaster woman ( thats what i call anyone who goes on a diet). Just make it a goal to eat better than you have before, and once you make some changes and feel comfy with them make some more and eat even better than that. Doing it slow makes it much easier and a lifelong thing instead of just a quick fix. I saw your wedding is in January.... how many pounds would you have to lose a week in order to reach your goal?

Maybe i should stop buying the bottle tea and make my own. i dont normally like regular tea but i could always add the splenda and lemon myself so its healthier right

O yikes- yeah skip that mcdonalds and go with the frozen meals MUCH better.

check the calories on the bottle of tea- i bet you there is a lot of sugar in them and that will make the calories go up. It sounds like its an improvement from soda, but if possible work towards a tea without sugar.

yes making your own would be much better. Try different teas as well- you may find you like a different tea better than the one you drink now.

Starbucks puts out one called passion. SOOOOOO good, i bought the bags to make it at home and I find its sweet enough for me to not have to add sugar or splenda.

Try mixing teas as well to get a different flavor. half passion half black is a good mix.

Why don't you sign up for sparkpeople.com?

It is free and will help you track the food you eat every day, and give you limits.

Is there any way you can get up early and exercise? I know I find it almost impossible to do, too, but when I stick with it, I realize I have a lot more energy during the day AND I sleep better. Takes a week or 2 before it stops feeling like torture to get up and move right away, but it's very effective, and once you're used it it, you'll feel so much better going forward. Getting too much or too little sleep puts on the lbs too b/c your metabolism won't function properly. Lots of articles online about that recently. Most say 6-7 is ideal, some 6-8.

Chelsea- If you can muster up the energy and force yourself to workout 2 or 3 days in a row, I promise your body will start to crave it and naturally give you the energy and drive to do it! Try the stationary bikes for about 30 mins each day. You can just sit and read or watch TV if the gym has them. Or go on a walk for an hour! Have FH come with you & it can be some "y'all" time. Good luck!

A pound and a half is VERY reasonable. Stick with that. Your goal can be accomplished just by making changes to your lifestyle. There are lots of free siites that can help you track your weightloss and eating habits. search around for them. they also give you a calorie goal in order to lose the weight you want and help you monitor if you are meeting that goal or not.
