Diet tips?

Catherine, on January 25, 2020 at 9:45 PM Posted in Fitness and Health 1 7
So I thought the idea of wanting to look the best version of myself on my wedding day would be enough motivation to help me stay on track of my diet and fitness, but for some reason I am struggling to hit the gym or eat healthier.
What are some things you ladies do to help you stay on track?

I track all my food in MyFitnessPal and have an online accountability coach who I check in with once a week. Please don’t go on some crazy fad diet (keto, paleo, etc) as they aren’t always the healthiest and are definitely not sustainable. My coach has a free FB page called Free to Be Nutrition. She posts weekly videos and we have threads for food/exercise accountability. It’s a very welcoming and non-judge mental group..

I try to drink as much water as possible. I mean dont over do it, but I seem to never get enough! I also do little things like take the stairs, stand as much at work as possible, and park farther at work and when I go grocery shopping. For the gym my biggest struggle is just getting there...and still figuring out how to help myself with that. But once im there its good. I hope these helped! Best of luck!

I would find something you enjoy to do. I think that was my problem aha because i wanted to find a workout regimen that I'd want to do. Eventually I found Barre. But also what helps is having a workout buddy to workout with.

I keep to a relatively strict schedule during the work week. It’s easier for me. I plan out my meals and don’t overdo it with my snacking. On the weekends I give myself a little more leeway but still real it in. I joined a women’s kickboxing gym a year and a half ago and love it. I go 4 times a week and walk at least 5 days a week during my lunch breaks. Good luck!!!!

    Hi Catherine,
Congratulations, I'm getting married in 13 months, I bought my dress 6 months ago ( Stella York, style 6979, if you want to see it ) I'm like you, I struggle to eat right and workout, I tell myself I have plenty of time!!!!!
which I know I really don't, my alterations won't be done until 3 months prior to my wedding just in case I gain weight, but I'm now drinking lots of water, and eating less because I'm not as hungry, and I've hung my dress at the foot of my bed, so I wake up to it everyday, a reminder that I need to fit into it!!!!!Good luck 👰

Definitely drinking enough water, and meal prepping. Planning my meals out and having them ready to grab out of the fridge is very helpful. Keeps me from stopping for fast food (fries are my weakness!)

For me, I cut out soda & desserts & coffee creamer. I also basically just started drinking water and nothing else. It also helped having my husband on the same diet with the same goals!
