Different arrival times for party groupings?

Chantelle, on September 14, 2021 at 11:06 PM Posted in Planning 0 2
Me (Bride), my mom, and bridesmaids will be at the venue to get ready together at 10:30am. Brunch provided. The Groom and his groomsmen will be at the venue to get ready together at 12:00pm. Lunch provided. The photos timeline begins around 1:00pm or so.

So do I invite Groom’s Mom and Groom’s Sister to also get ready with the ladies around 10:30? Do I invite Bride’s Father and Bride’s Brother to get ready with the guys around 12:00pm?
Or should they have their own time of arrival, Bride’s Father/Brother and Groom’s Mother/Sister can arrive already ready at 12:30pm for lunch and touch up after eating.

I had my bridal party and my mom meet at the venue around 2pm and and all the groomsmen meet at the best man hotel to get ready and be at the venue by 3pm. You could have them get ready together the way that you plan. That is a great way for them to bond and be on time

Hi Chantelle! I think this depends on their preferences and your relationships!

My dad and brother got ready on their own and showed up for pre-ceremony family photos. I invited my MIL to join us for hair & makeup but she chose to do her own and joined us for family photos. My sister-in-law was my matron of honor, so she was there having her hair and makeup done with the rest of the bridesmaids!

I think the invite to the groom's mother and sister should maybe depend on the hair & makeup status! Can they also have their hair & makeup done professionally? Or are enough people doing their own glam that it wouldn't feel awkward to invite them to join??
